[ Itachi's been tinkering with the video feed. He kind of gets it. But he accidently turns it on while just trying to use the camera function to pick confetti out of his long, black hair. A red eye stares back. ]

...Who knew the afterlife would throw me a welcoming party. [ Because really, where else would he have gone to? He's buried in the sky, among stars. His fingers bat at his hair more, getting the rest of the glitter out. He'll probably be sparkly for a couple of days. However, his eyes catch sight that he is recording... and his expression softens, before going flat. He's got an incredibly similar face to someone else on board. ]

Ah. I've been caught. [ He doesn't say anything more--but the camera shows it moving away from his face before shutting off completely. ]

[ Well, as long as she didn't have any misconceptions, then everything was fine. He offered a nod of his head. ]

...And what... ship... might you be floating about in?

The Windrose. I'm a pilot. Haven't been spending much time on the ships since we got to this planet though. Winn and I are staying at one of the inns. [She otherwises with him.]

And you're...not on the Marsiva, are you? [The background doesn't look right for that, but she doesn't recognize which ship it is instead.] Where did they put you?

A ship called the Paisley. [ He rather likes the choice in name. ] ...It's impressive, you being a pilot.

I think I know a few people on that ship. [Loki and Theon come to mind first. She could picture the whole roster if she thought about it, but she doesn't bother.]

I did some flying back home too. Nothing professional. Which augment did they give you?

...Civilian. [ He wondered exactly how they chose that. ] I'm not sure what the prerequisites are for their assignment.

Just civilian? I didn't even know that was a thing. Seems like the least they could have done was make you a cook so I could have traded for your services.

I don't know how to figure the augments. Sometimes you have lots of experience in them, sometimes a little, sometimes none. [Little shrug.] Probably would have made more sense to put me in security, engineering, or communications. [Or maybe she just has too many skill sets. Thanks, Marvel!]

I think it's.... personnel, then. [ Or something of the sort. He's a little confused on what he's supposed to really do.] Regardless...

I won't oppose it. [ He could have been easily slotted as... anything else, really. He's got a lot of skills. Many of them. But he's most happy not having to worry about putting those skills to use, not unless absolutely necessary. ]

Oh. Kara has that. It comes with an office, so that's a perk. [She has no idea what Kara is supposed to do. She knows basically what personnel meant in her world before everything collapsed in on itself, but it's not like she can reassign people. They have the augments they have.]

...For all your officing needs.

...I have an office? [ Way for the world not to tell him all the awesome stuff he now has. There is genuine surprise on his face... but it settled down in seconds. ] I see.

...It seems as though I have more investigating to do. So...

Oh... yeah, sure. [She didn't expect the conversation to end already, but maybe it's better. It's probably a little overwhelming to meet someone who knows you. She's only had mild experiences of the same.]
