[ Itachi's been tinkering with the video feed. He kind of gets it. But he accidently turns it on while just trying to use the camera function to pick confetti out of his long, black hair. A red eye stares back. ]

...Who knew the afterlife would throw me a welcoming party. [ Because really, where else would he have gone to? He's buried in the sky, among stars. His fingers bat at his hair more, getting the rest of the glitter out. He'll probably be sparkly for a couple of days. However, his eyes catch sight that he is recording... and his expression softens, before going flat. He's got an incredibly similar face to someone else on board. ]

Ah. I've been caught. [ He doesn't say anything more--but the camera shows it moving away from his face before shutting off completely. ]

...A pleasure, Kirito-kun. [ Because he looks younger than him. He watches him set down his box of tools, hearing the metal clanking inside. He looks at it curiously. ]

I'm assuming you reside on the Paisley?

[To Itachi's credit, Kirito looks younger than he is ~~yaaaaay malnourished formative years~~ but even if he looked his age, it would fit. Either way, he doesn't even blink at it. He's Japanese, just about everyone calls him -kun back home.]

Yeah, I'm the engineer here. I don't know if that counts for much, but if you ever see any tech problems, just let me know. Have you figured out your augment yet?

...Personnel Support. [ A civilian augment, but that was fine with him. He had no desire to take up a combat mantle, at least, not for a job. ] Though... I'm not entirely sure that that all entails. I suppose... as a counselor. [ He might not be too bad at it. He's certainly seen enough bullshit in his life to help other people out. And he's always wanted a peaceful world, so... ]

...But I suppose I have time to figure things out.

Oh geez, seriously, you too? You're the third one with that augment. Are the Atroma trying to tell us something?

[Honestly, with the crew they've gathered, he would not be surprised if it was decided that they needed multiple counsellors on board. Especially considering Loki is the worst therapist ever.]

If you want my opinion, "whatever you want" is what you do. If you're any good at acting, you can try to play up the audience, but all that'll do is make you earn more money. They might send you stuff, but they won't send you home for it.

...I'm not interested in returning home. [ The response is resolute. ]

So if you... entertain the audience, your life here will be more comfortable. That's good to know.

Is that what you do? Whatever you want?

Pretty much, yeah. I'm kind of lousy at faking it for entertainment.

...I doubt I'll need to fake anything. [ Not when his brother is here. He has no doubt drama will come on its own, somehow. He looks down at whatever Kirito is working on. ]

[He glances over his shoulder, then sees where Itachi is looking.]

...Oh, with the maintenance, you mean? This is actually pretty routine stuff. Do you know engineering at all?

...Well if you wanted help with entertainment... [ But he trailed off, looking over what he was doing. ]

I don't really know much about engineering... [ But his red eyes were already at work, the black marks within slowly spinning. ] ...But I have abilities of my own that would make watching you worthwhile, in case you were unable to do it.

That's... pretty cool-looking. Is that like a learn-by-watching kind of thing?

Essentially. If I'm physically up for the task, I can copy someone by watching them.
