1. [video/action]
Who: Thranduil and open
Broadcast: Network, unfiltered
Action: Aboard the SS Pathstone and/or HS Marsiva
When: Friday and Saturday
[The video takes a second to focus after it comes on, and the person it is shooting looks mildly surprised for a moment that it seems to be working. He's tall, fair, and is wearing a crown made of autumn leaves and berries and sticks, and is clearly another elf. There's a moment before he speaks, and then he only asks one question.]
Is it true?
[action]
[He had awoken, and to his own astonishment, had known where he was. He did usually know where he was when he woke up, of course, but he also had always known them before he did; this was the first time in waking up somewhere wholly unfamiliar and yet feeling certain he knew where he was and, more or less, what was going on. He was still a few moments before he pushed himself to his feet and slowly moved into the open, the fabric of his outermost robe sighing as it dragged across the unfamiliar-familiar floor. There was nothing outside, it seemed at the viewing port; it was dark as even the forest did not become, and more than that it was empty, but for the spray of stars that stretched in every direction.
He spends a little time wandering, in what space there is to wander, staring out the viewing ports every time he's near it.
It's the next day that he's taken to a ship, which is... unexpected. The confetti gets everywhere, and he's still trying to pick it all out of his hair as he begins to explore the ship, or try to.]

It... This doesn't make sense, either being here, or knowing of it. The stars were placed in heaven long before even my time, and there are none save it be Eärendil who have found their way into them. Nor had I a wish to, for there is much I must do where I belong.

That is, I suppose, no stranger than the rest of what has occurred, though I know none for whom time is wholly still.

My name is Kara.
video;
Even when she flips the video on, she's watching him carefully]
You will have to be more specific than that, I'm afraid.

This? All of this? I find that there is much here and I know much which I have no business knowing. Normally I do not doubt my senses, but I do not see how anything around me can be in truth.
no subject
She makes a noise, leaning back from the camera to look around herself]
It may not seem to be, but it is as true as the rest you may have seen or heard. I found it difficult to believe at first as well, even with information already in my head confirming some of what I questioned.

I have only just arrived myself, but I can do my best to answer any questions have, cousin. [she pauses as the word slips out, then faintly shakes her head] Things the - augment do not explain.
video
If he's right, that would make this the first person from home who he isn't related to. Which puts an interesting twist on things. But he'll ponder the implications later. First things first.]
Mad as it all may sound, yes, it is. [Because he's pretty sure he knows what 'it' is without asking.] We are a long way from home, my friend.
no subject
Friend, you say, and yet I do not believe I have met you. Am I mistaken?
[The question is honestly meant; when you've lived as long and passed through as many places as he has he supposes it's possible.]
no subject
[He nods deeply at the screen- the closest he can come to a bow without juggling the communicator.] Finrod Felagund, at your service.
no subject
[He's so surprised that he blurts half the name back before he catches himself, then pauses and spends a few moments standing still as he adjusts his thinking.]
I... see. Well met, Finrod.
[He inclines his head in turn, though in his case it's unlikely Finrod would get any more if they were in person.]
You are correct, but is that truly so unusual? I am Thranduil, king of the woodland realm.
no subject
There are but five of us here from home, including the two of us- and the others have arrived relatively recently. For a great deal of time, I was on my own. Yes, I would say it is unusual.
no subject
Yours is a name I have not heard in many years. But very well, as you say.
You say there are only five from home, and yet where else should they be from?
no subject
Other worlds, other... universes. [He grins, despite everything. Even death did not quite manage to kill that almost boyish sense of wonder.] Places I could not have imagined before arriving here.
Not here
He has to find his brother first and warn him.
He doesn't know what the Elvenking might or might not do - it isn't as if he's interacted with Thranduil before, after all. He only knows of his existence from the tales told - but he does know that he probably hates them. ]

The father of the elf she jokingly called her brother, a man she had spoken to often and cared about and, she imagines, won't remember anything to do with her. She doesn't even bother with hopig, shaking her head and focussing on trying to offer help instead. ]
The Atroma, and the fleet? It's true.

I do not care for things done without my knowledge; does it happen often here?
no subject
Video;
Which part? Being kidnapped by an unknown entity and floating around in space supposedly being broadcast on a live show to some universe? I would say about 95% of that is true.
no subject
[His voice is a study in dryness. There's a momentary pause before he continues.]
What part isn't true, if it all is not?
no subject
Personally I don't believe we're on a reality show, but that is only my opinion and theory. I don't have concrete proof. But that someone is constantly watching us I do believe.
no subject
no subject
Which part? Kidnapping is definitely uncommon. A reality show where I from is uncommon. Or do you mean being watched all the time? Yes that's definitely uncommon.
no subject
no subject
Well, uncommon where I am from. Not everyone is from the same time or even the same world, so it tends to vary. Like I said, I don't have any proof of that theory, so I wouldn't think to hard on it. Just - be aware that we're monitored.
Especially since you've - we all have really - been given something called an Augment. It was implanted in your brain - you might feel where it is on the back of your head. If you're not from a technologically advanced society, it gives you a boost to thwart the learning curve here, somewhat anyways.
no subject
[His hand does go to his head, to feel, and he looks a little disturbed and a little annoyed.]
To help or to hinder, it was done without consent. If those who brought us here are used to so acting, it seems to bode poorly, regardless of what else might happen or not happen.
no subject
Because in my time we do interact with other worlds - planets, that is. All the stars around you? A good portion of them have what are called solar systems made up of planets. Some have sentient life on them. Not to mention some of the worlds people describe can't possibly be mine - the histories and the mechanics of their world don't exist in my world.
[ A shrug, because the idea of space travel and other races and planets is old hat to him. ]
No, it doesn't. Which is why I advise not trusting Atroma or basically anything they tell you. Take it all with a good dose of salt.
(Video)
It is likely.
