1. [video/action]
Who: Thranduil and open
Broadcast: Network, unfiltered
Action: Aboard the SS Pathstone and/or HS Marsiva
When: Friday and Saturday
[The video takes a second to focus after it comes on, and the person it is shooting looks mildly surprised for a moment that it seems to be working. He's tall, fair, and is wearing a crown made of autumn leaves and berries and sticks, and is clearly another elf. There's a moment before he speaks, and then he only asks one question.]
Is it true?
[action]
[He had awoken, and to his own astonishment, had known where he was. He did usually know where he was when he woke up, of course, but he also had always known them before he did; this was the first time in waking up somewhere wholly unfamiliar and yet feeling certain he knew where he was and, more or less, what was going on. He was still a few moments before he pushed himself to his feet and slowly moved into the open, the fabric of his outermost robe sighing as it dragged across the unfamiliar-familiar floor. There was nothing outside, it seemed at the viewing port; it was dark as even the forest did not become, and more than that it was empty, but for the spray of stars that stretched in every direction.
He spends a little time wandering, in what space there is to wander, staring out the viewing ports every time he's near it.
It's the next day that he's taken to a ship, which is... unexpected. The confetti gets everywhere, and he's still trying to pick it all out of his hair as he begins to explore the ship, or try to.]

Friend, you say, and yet I do not believe I have met you. Am I mistaken?
[The question is honestly meant; when you've lived as long and passed through as many places as he has he supposes it's possible.]

[He nods deeply at the screen- the closest he can come to a bow without juggling the communicator.] Finrod Felagund, at your service.

[He's so surprised that he blurts half the name back before he catches himself, then pauses and spends a few moments standing still as he adjusts his thinking.]
I... see. Well met, Finrod.
[He inclines his head in turn, though in his case it's unlikely Finrod would get any more if they were in person.]
You are correct, but is that truly so unusual? I am Thranduil, king of the woodland realm.

There are but five of us here from home, including the two of us- and the others have arrived relatively recently. For a great deal of time, I was on my own. Yes, I would say it is unusual.

Yours is a name I have not heard in many years. But very well, as you say.
You say there are only five from home, and yet where else should they be from?
no subject
Other worlds, other... universes. [He grins, despite everything. Even death did not quite manage to kill that almost boyish sense of wonder.] Places I could not have imagined before arriving here.
