[At first, the scene appears to be a relatively familiar one. That is, the typical network broadcast of a new arrival to the fleet. A communicator's video feed broadcasting a slumbering figure curled up on a ship's cot. However, a second glance and one can easily tell that this not typical at all. Instead of the Marsiva's recognizably distinct interior, this feed seems to be coming from the bunkroom aboard one of the Fleet's smaller ships. In fact, crew members of the Starstruck may find the setting quite familiar looking indeed, along with anyone else that may have paid Wanda a visit in the past.]

[The sleeping figure stirs, waking from a deep slumber with a slow sit up and stretch. The communicator's camera focuses on the individual, as she quickly recognizes that something is amiss. Wanda Maximoff looks around, startled and confused to not find herself waking up in the room she'd been given in Wakanda. However, she soon begins to recognize the room. It's her room, her bunkroom aboard the SS Starstuck. And that could only mean...]

I'm back...

[The thought vocalized out loud, her tone sounding somewhat somber, yet also a tiny bit relieved. She swings her legs out of her cot, and pads her way over to her storage locker. Checking inside, she finds all of her trinkets, clothing, and other souvenirs that she'd picked up on previous planet visits. All of them in the exact place she had left them. A new outfit also noticeably present among the garments. Her fingers gently glide over each item, as the respective memories associated with each one float back to her.]

[A moment later, she closes the locker and turns her attention back to her room. She studies the interior, looking everything over.]

All exactly as I remember it.

[She then spies the communicator perched upon a shelf, optimally poised to capture her return. She walks over to it, picking it up and holding it out in front of herself. She looks ready to address the camera yet falters for a moment. A small frown on her face, and her eyebrows furrowed as she ponders what to even say, if she should even say anything at all. But only a moment later, her expression relaxes, and a small grin replaces the frown. Looking now more bemused and her tone more playfully sarcastic, she addresses the camera.]

It's been a while. What did I miss?

[Wanda blinks for a moment, surprised to see Natasha's face on her screen. When she'd left, there had been no Agent Romanov. The one she had known had left before her little disappearance. Now to come back and see Natasha's face again, she doesn't know how to feel, especially considering everything that had gone down back home.]

I... went home. Apparently for a month here, but back home it was more like a year.

[This version puts on a good front, but it still shows that she doesn't exactly know what's going on.]

That's a thing that happens? And you come back to the same ship?

It would seem so. I'd seen it happen to others in the fleet, but this would be my first time experiencing it for myself.

I'll have to keep that in mind. [It's a neutral statement, meaning very little before she asks:] So where does that leave you? That year you went back for.

[At Natasha's question, Wanda begins to look more serious, knowing full well that technically Natasha and herself had been on opposite sides of the Sokovia Accords. However, Steve had told her and the others, after springing them from their floating prison the helicarrier, what Natasha had ultimately done to guarantee his and Bucky's escape. Just another example that the Black Widow remains ever unpredictable.]

You want to know the date? Or the events?

The date's enough.

[She presses her lips together to wet them, not enjoying her relative ignorance in this situation.]

2016. Spring.

[She answers flatly, but looking somewhat bemused by this little exchange between them.]

Thanks. [So from Natasha's future. She doesn't like that, but she doesn't let herself dwell on that.]

I never thought I'd have to worry about keeping track of when everyone is coming from.

[Wanda sighs, nodding her head in agreement.]

It is not particularly fun, feeling like some of us are in on a secret that others are not privy to.

Even in trying to catch everyone up to speed, it is one thing to be told what happens, but quite another to experience it for yourself.

[There's perhaps a little irony in Natasha being frustrated by secrets; she's not blind to it, or immune. She smiles just a little, wry.]

In some ways it makes you wonder if it's worth asking what you missed.

[Well, that didn't sound like leading at all..]

Are you?

Asking what I missed? I wouldn't say that. Not yet at least.

Not yet? So... eventually then, you'd like to know?

I'd like to know now. [She says it with humor, playing her difficulty dealing with a lack of information off as a joke.] It doesn't seem like the time to ask, though.

[At first, Wanda gives her an uncertain look. Not feeling very up to telling Natasha that the two of them weren't exactly on the same side a little bit ago, but, after she finishes speaking, Wanda looks more relieved. Grateful that Nat didn't seem to be forcing her to get into all that right now.]

Thank you. Suddenly being back here, it takes a little readjusting.

[Natasha figures she can be patient. It's not like she's unsympathetic, even if the little she can glean from Barnes makes her wonder.]

As long as whatever it is doesn't follow us here, there's no reason to push.

[At first, Wanda doesn't quite know how to respond to that. She bites her lip for a second, before trying to hide it behind a small smile.]

Hopefully, it won't.

[Natasha pretends not to notice the smile.]
