A bittersweet return; Video + Action
Who: Wanda Maximoff
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Starstruck
When: Right now
[At first, the scene appears to be a relatively familiar one. That is, the typical network broadcast of a new arrival to the fleet. A communicator's video feed broadcasting a slumbering figure curled up on a ship's cot. However, a second glance and one can easily tell that this not typical at all. Instead of the Marsiva's recognizably distinct interior, this feed seems to be coming from the bunkroom aboard one of the Fleet's smaller ships. In fact, crew members of the Starstruck may find the setting quite familiar looking indeed, along with anyone else that may have paid Wanda a visit in the past.]
[The sleeping figure stirs, waking from a deep slumber with a slow sit up and stretch. The communicator's camera focuses on the individual, as she quickly recognizes that something is amiss. Wanda Maximoff looks around, startled and confused to not find herself waking up in the room she'd been given in Wakanda. However, she soon begins to recognize the room. It's her room, her bunkroom aboard the SS Starstuck. And that could only mean...]
I'm back...
[The thought vocalized out loud, her tone sounding somewhat somber, yet also a tiny bit relieved. She swings her legs out of her cot, and pads her way over to her storage locker. Checking inside, she finds all of her trinkets, clothing, and other souvenirs that she'd picked up on previous planet visits. All of them in the exact place she had left them. A new outfit also noticeably present among the garments. Her fingers gently glide over each item, as the respective memories associated with each one float back to her.]
[A moment later, she closes the locker and turns her attention back to her room. She studies the interior, looking everything over.]
All exactly as I remember it.
[She then spies the communicator perched upon a shelf, optimally poised to capture her return. She walks over to it, picking it up and holding it out in front of herself. She looks ready to address the camera yet falters for a moment. A small frown on her face, and her eyebrows furrowed as she ponders what to even say, if she should even say anything at all. But only a moment later, her expression relaxes, and a small grin replaces the frown. Looking now more bemused and her tone more playfully sarcastic, she addresses the camera.]
It's been a while. What did I miss?

Welcome to the beach! It's pretty great here, but if you're not interested in sharing your feelings, probably avoid physical contact while on the planet.

Thank you... [Wanda searches her face, waiting for some spark of memory to give her a name, but nothing comes to her.]
Sorry, but did we meet before?

[The face that comes into view is familiar, expression schooled into a neutral, vaguely amused expression.]
Heard you were here. Did you go somewhere else?

I... went home. Apparently for a month here, but back home it was more like a year.

And the very thought makes him second-guess contacting her at all.
As a compromise, he chooses the form she's most welcome to ignore, should she feel like it.]
Wanda. Please understand I am very sorry.
[Which should prove a good marker of what she knows, depending on her response.]

I am sorry, too.
[She's about to type more, but stops herself. Not sure what exactly to say. Could mere words between them return things to normal? Could they ever return to normal anyways?]

[ there is a smile here because for all their circumstances, he is glad to see her. being worried about Wanda has become Steve's thing since she joined their group, after all. she was young, for all her skill and had seen too much of this world already. ]
It's good to see you, Wanda.
Video
Working on your tan then? Guess this planet must have as nice of a beach as I've heard.
It is good to see you too, Steve.
[After spending a year with him, training and going on missions, the informal use of his first name just slips out. She doesn't even recognize that she may have said something odd, compared to how she used to address him before she went under for a month.]

[She knows he is a crew member of her's aboard the Starstruck, but she cannot recall if they've interacted before. Given the current situation--finding herself suddenly back in the Fleet, memories askew--it would not surprise if she simply cannot recall for certain a specific time. She does sound a little apologetic at not being able to remember everything with more certainty. Hopefully, it all comes back to her soon enough.]

[ He had heard that she had fallen into one of those Atroma comas. ]

[She gives a small smile and nod of her head.]
It is good to see you.

That depends on what you last remember.

Erik... [She says his name, almost like a question. Trying to verify she does remember his name correctly.]
The last thing I remember is... the wasteland planet with all the games. We spoke about chess. And there was a ball, as well. A big dance. But that's it. That's the last of what I remember from here.
[There was a bit more beyond that. Vision's birthday, visiting his ship a few times, but that did seem worth mentioning to Erik.]

I was wondering if you were okay.
[ For many reasons. ]

[A small grin plays across her lips, before disappearing. She falters for a moment. Before she had gone home, she had only known and referred to him as Winter. Now, with everything that happened, it seemed only natural to call him by his name. Yet, even though Vision told her that he and Bucky had also regained memories of the Sokovia Accords and its aftermath, she can't help but worry if possibly she has toed a line by being so informal with him. She checks to see if she should correct herself and apologize.]
Or would you still prefer Winter?

[ he's not worried. definitely not. not at all a giant dad who may or may not have been freaking out this whole time where no one could see.
still, he manages a soft smile. ]
Nice to have you back.

[She smiles back. Her joy at seeing him clearly a bit more obvious. Although she knows only just saw him a little while ago, back in Wakanda, before returning to the Fleet, it is still good to see him around. It seems all the Avengers she remembers being here before she left were still around--plus one Agent Romanov.]
Nice to be back. [She looks around her bunkroom for a moment, looking back at the communicator screen with a sly grin.] More or less.

video (a million years late I'm sorry)
I wish I could provide you with more details, but I missed a few weeks of the journey myself.
[Not that he seems all that troubled by that news.]
I'm glad to see you again. The ship has been rather dull without you around.
[Which is the crux of it. On top of everything else going on - the glitches, the nightmares, the fighting - part of the reason he'd been hiding out on the Pathstone was that Wanda was the only one that he felt the closest to. Absent that anchor, he had drifted away from the crew almost entirely.]
Always welcome :3
It is good to see you too, Felix. Did you take a trip home yourself?

But he does send something in the end, because what's the worst that can happen? He says, 'it's Clint', and she asks, 'Clint who?'. He's overthinking it.]
Hi Wanda, it's Clint.
[But... then what? He's not going to write, 'I'm glad you're back'. He's not glad. He's not glad for any of them being here. So he cops out with a meager:]
Hope you're okay.
[And fully expects to get nothing in return.]
