ᴀᴜᴅɪᴏ/ᴀᴄᴛɪᴏɴ | too bad, so sad
Who: Dezel and you
Broadcast: Yes
Action: Crowley's bar or the Huntress, whichever you prefer.
When: Now
[audio]
[Someone is definitely growling. You'd think he was a dog, but then he seems to form words. Every consonant sounds like a knife against stone.]
I'm staying away from the planet for a while. If anyone needs me—
[He hesitates.]
—too bad. [And he hangs up.]
[action]
[Despite his grumpy broadcast, Dezel can be found in certain places. One of them is Crowley's bar. He's invisible, but that doesn't stop him from cleaning glasses and making tiny, pretentious food. If you can't see him, it's like some invisible Christmas elf keeps leaving tarts everywhere.
Alternatively, he can be seen (or not seen) sulking in the Huntress' cargo bay, sitting on some boxes beside a window. In his lap is a fuzzy happy little slug that he strokes with due diligence.]
[ooc: If you're meeting Dezel in person and haven't done so, please fill out his seraph permissions!]

I thought you'd be down on the planet. [Simba needs to stretch his legs, after all.]
action
Sure, but I can't stay down there all the time. Something would probably eat me if I slept down there.
action
Probably.
[He's welcome for the vote of confidence.]
... Something I can do for you?
action
Well, I was kinda wondering what you're doing up here. I kinda thought you'd be taking every chance you could to be enjoying nature, like Mikleo.
action
I was, and I did.
[He knows that's not going to be enough to satisfy Sora, but he's not sure how to explain this.]
... Someone from home showed up.
action
Someone from home?
[He looks confused, maybe a little concerned.]
Is it someone bad?
no subject
Dezel hesitates. Zaveid had fought them before, many times, but he'd never fought to the brink of killing anyone. Sorey had mentioned, once, that Zaveid saved them on Spiritcrest. Knowing that Zaveid replaced him, too...]
... No, I don't think he'll hurt anyone.
[He draws the brim of his hat down a little more, but doesn't volunteer much else.]
It's complicated.
no subject
So in other words...you don't like him and wanna avoid him?
no subject
[Sora hit the nail on the head, there.]
He talks too much without saying anything at all. [He pets the slug some more, staring off into space (har har).] He's a wind seraph, but that's where the similarities end.
no subject
[He rubs the back of his neck]
But do you really wanna stay off planet the rest of our time? I mean it's a big place, I'm sure you could avoid him.
no subject
[Do you see why he is up here sulking now?]
no subject
[Sure, he can see why he's up here sulking. Doesn't mean he doesn't think it's stupid though]
C'mon, it's not like we're gonna be at this planet forever. And who knows the next time we'll come across a planet with nature. Won't you regret holing yourself up here all this time?
no subject
[He's trying not to yell at Sora, but damn it, stop calling him out on his bullshit.]
I wasn't going to be up here forever, anyway. [He sounds a little like a scolded child.] Just a day or two, until he gets bored and moves on.
no subject
Really? And you're not worried he'll try to come to the ship in that meantime?
no subject
... If he does, he knows I'll fight him.
[That's... not really helping, Dezel.]
no subject
Don't go wrecking the ship now. It's not like I know how to put it back together.
no subject
Tch. I know better than that.

no subject
[He knows when he's being sassed. And yet he can't help sounding a little bit... petulant.]
no subject
Yeah, I think I did hear something about that.
