Action: Planetside, outside the inn she's staying in.

[ the camera comes on and for a moment it's on arya's face before it turns to show the sky, filled with stars. ]

Did you know that stars are made of very hot gas? [ because she didn't. not until the moment she woke up on the ship. arya isn't a little girl anymore, life has changed her, morphed her into something she never was. yet she's not as bitter or jaded, she hasn't had a chance to change that much. but still, the world is a darker place to arya stark. she'd been angry when she first got here, she's still angry but she's done her exploring.

the little girl in her shines through as she turns the camera back to her face and she grins-- ]

How strange . . . do you know why they end up on fire?

[she nods] That is what I was told.

[ she pauses.] No.

I did not know that.

[a small smile] That's alright. It just seems curious, rocks do not burn for very long.

Mm, it is just much larger than the other stars? I think. Someone on my crew was kind enough to explain some things about space to me.

In space they do. [ she nods. ]

Maybe it's because we are close to it.

So it would seem. Have you ever seen one?

[her smile widens] Perhaps. It would have to be, for it to do everything it does, yes?

A falling star? Yes. But I haven't seen a red one. Old Nan used to say that if you see one it means dragons are coming.

My father used to say it meant that someone of great importance has passed on. [she tilts her head] He never mentioned red ones, though.

Are dragons good or bad, though? Ours live far to the south, past the dragonborn. They have their own island so they do not bother us, and we do not bother them. [her nose wrinkles] Or so the story goes.

It also used to mean victory. [ so maybe someone of great importance died because of a victor.]

It depends on who you ask. Dragons burned down the cities, killed men, conquered lords.

I think my mother's people had a different belief. It likely varies between people.

[she tilts her head] Conquered lords? Really?

The Targaryens had dragons and took Westeros for their own, one of the dragons named Balerion the Black Dread created the Iron Throne with his breath from the melted swords of the lords who swore fealty to them.

Goodness, but your stories already sound far more impressive than my world's. [she sounds genuinely impressed] A throne made of iron sounds . . . rather uncomfortable. Especially one made of swords.

I wouldn't know. [ she doesn't want to know.]

I do not think I would want to find out.
