When: Time is relative.

[The feed opens up different from Allen's usual clinic-related broadcasts. First of all, the camera seems shaky, like it's been held by something flying. It also seems to be out in the forest, or rather near a clearing in the forest.]

[And behind him instead of Timcanpy, seems to be what looks like...well, a dead dinosaur that's so big you can only see a bit of it on the camera. And Sokka's in the background, pacing around and measuring the dinosaur from all angles, muttering to himself.]

Ah, hello all! [Allen gives a wave] I'm Allen Walker of the SS Blue Fish. I don't have any clinic announcements, but ah...

[He glances back, then looks at the camera again]

Well you see, my captain and I went hunting and we sort of...overdid it, a tad. You see, um, Tim? Can you show them?

[The shaky camera pans around, showing that yep- that is indeed a dead T. rex. A tree has been toppled on it, and there's stab wounds in the neck. Sokka meanwhile has started to examine the dinosaur with....finger square frame. Okay. After a moment, the camera will go back to focus on Allen]

Yeah, as you can see- I don't think we can get this back to our ship on our own, or fit it in the ship, if we did.

[He claps his hands together] So! We were thinking...if anyone would like some meat for your ship, we'd be happy to share! Just come on by and take some! We're out in the forest, a few miles outside of the city. There's clearly plenty to go around!

Oh, and if you have a way to move it closer to the ships, that'd be even better! We'd be happy to share an even larger portion! [He glances around the forest, a bit nervous. Behind him, Sokka seems to started drawing with intense concentration, using a nearby tree stump for his surface. Allen seems to talk like he's more talking to himself than anything:] I know I'd like to be out of here before we meet his friends...

[And then he clears his throat and looks back at the camera] Anyway. That's all! Have a nice day!

[Korra teases a bit, smiling as she approaches the boys and their dinosaur. With a brusque stomp of her foot the earth around the dinosaur opened up. Shifting her stance Korra brings her arms forward, shifting her hands in a raising motion to bring the slab of ground up before she pulls it forward with another bending motion. Stepping beside it, she earth bends the earth forward, in the direction of the ships.]

Which one are you guys - Blue Fish, right?

[Korra strains a bit, propelling the dino with a burst of speed. Her eyes glow momentarily, Rava's spirit appearing subtly on her body in the form of a pattern.]

Better go catch up to him!

[And her job is totally done. Piece of cake.]

[Allen's seen with Aang what people in the Avatar state can do. It was seriously nothing Allen ever wanted to mess with, even if he could be at full power. And this display of sending a several ton carcass flying?]

...Holy shit.

[It's been a while since Aang was around, but Sokka hasn't seen the glowy thing since the Avatar State. So, he;s understandably nervous when he sees this. Very little good comes from a glowing Avatar, in his experience.

But then she's talking and all the crazy is suddenly over and maybe that means...not the Avatar State? Because wow he would not have wanted to try and snap her out of that one. ]

...The glowy thing is new.

Is it? I thought you've seen Aang in the Avatar State before.

[Well to be fair it is a bit different.]

Yeah I have but he was always so...out of it when he did it.

[CREEPILY so. ]

That was...different.

Oh... well, he learned to control it eventually?

[And so did she, not that she had struggled as hard as he had with it once she became more in tune with her spiritual side.]

Different - I think the word you're looking for is awesome.

[Okay enough bragging, Korra.]

I-yeah. I suppose he did.

[It was still TERRIFYING though. Like treating an un-exploded but still very active bomb. ]

Okay, okay, awesome is totally the right word.

[And without warning she just whips up an air scooter.]

We should probably catch that dinosaur, huh?

[Not that it was going anywhere but still.]

[It's always great to see an air scooter. ]

Sure better. Don't want the dead dinosaur running off anywhere.

Right! Wouldn't want it to- hey!!

[DEAD DINOSAURS CAN'T RUN SOKKA!! 8|]

I'm pretty sure we'd have bigger problems if it could run...

[SMIIIIILE. ]

Then it would be a zombie dinosaur. No one wants a zombie anything.

...Plus we couldn't eat it, then.

Wait, wait, you've seen zombie dinosaurs?!

[Oh bless her she's falling for it. Sokka will be thrilled. She has no idea what to expect about these new worlds, okay. He's the expert here, not her.]

Could that really happen?

Well, no, but I imagine under the right circumstances it could happen.

[This is exactly why Allen shouldn't be allowed to show him Earth media. This is the exact reason why. ]

Science stands to reason. If one species can suddenly come back to unlife, so could any other.

If he gets back up I'll beat him unconscious!! There's no way he's going to attack people.

[She's really taking this so seriously.... Where is Katara or Asami when they need a grown up.]

[She flexes a bit, trying not to laugh.]

Not...that far, no.

[Just. holy shit. Wow. Even Lavi would have to work pretty damn hard to send something flying that much]

Was that- Was that Avatar state? I thought you had to be- um, really mad to do that?

It was! And it's only like that if you lose control of it. I can control it.

[She frowns, avoiding his gaze and feeling a bit guilty. So Allen had clearly seen Aang lose control of the Avatar State or heard about it and that just makes her feel a bit anxious. She'd only ever lost control because of Zaheer forcing her into it.]

It's kind of... a defense mechanism. If I'm forced into it then yeah it can get kind of crazy, but if I'm not and I'm using it on my own it's fine. Then I can go in and out of it whenever I want. Aang could do it too once he learned how.

Oh...I hadn't realised it could be like that. I've only seen it once with Aang...

[He rubs the back of his neck, feeling a bit bad that he's clearly made her feel guilty and anxious. It wasn't that he hated the Avatar State. On the contrary, Aang using it that day was something he always felt incredibly grateful for, even to this day. It was just...the sheer raw power was so immense, especially when it was directed technically at you.]

[That won't happen anymore, he reminds himself. So he clears his throat and offers a smile]

It's fine. I know how it can be with abilities. [Losing control and having them go crazy, all that] You just caught me by surprise, that's all. Your power is really impressive.

Oh, thank you... I work pretty hard, I guess. Aang's shoes are hard to fill sometimes.

[But she's done alright carving her own path. Her friends had helped her get to where she is, despite all the struggling she had to do to get there.]

Aang learned to control the Avatar State too, eventually. It just took him a bit to get there.

I can only imagine. I'm not sure I envy you.

[He's only known Aang at age 12 and already he's accomplished so much. He could make anyone feel like a slacker who can't measure up]

I'd like to ask you more about it...but we should probably find where that dinosaur landed.

Oh yeah, sure!

[And she might just be skipping the talk about the Avatar State in favor of catching up to that dinosaur caracas, making an air scooter out of thin air and moving swiftly forward while she takes a seat on it.]

[Hell you know what? It can't be as bad as Lavi's hammer, and it beats getting lost in the woods]

Sure! I'll take a ride!

[And without preamble, a few moments later, the ground beneath him rips up, giving him enough room to sit down. He probably would be once gravity knocked him over anyway.]

There! Now you don't have to walk.

[Someone was definitely showing off today.]

Whoa!

[He gets surprised by the ground ripping up, and sure enough he falls into the sitting position. Which yeah, it sure is weird sitting on air]

This is- wow. Where do I hold on?

[ARE THERE AIR SEATBELTS????]

[Oh right.. he would need something to hold on, huh... probably should have earth bended instead... 8|]

Just don't move!! I won't let you fall off.

[And she's going to send you off just as fast as that dinosaur, Allen. Better hold on to your pants!!]
