Who: Allen Walker
Broadcast: Video
Action: The Hand-Holding Planet
When: Time is relative.
[The feed opens up different from Allen's usual clinic-related broadcasts. First of all, the camera seems shaky, like it's been held by something flying. It also seems to be out in the forest, or rather near a clearing in the forest.]
[And behind him instead of Timcanpy, seems to be what looks like...well, a dead dinosaur that's so big you can only see a bit of it on the camera. And Sokka's in the background, pacing around and measuring the dinosaur from all angles, muttering to himself.]
Ah, hello all! [Allen gives a wave] I'm Allen Walker of the SS Blue Fish. I don't have any clinic announcements, but ah...
[He glances back, then looks at the camera again]
Well you see, my captain and I went hunting and we sort of...overdid it, a tad. You see, um, Tim? Can you show them?
[The shaky camera pans around, showing that yep- that is indeed a dead T. rex. A tree has been toppled on it, and there's stab wounds in the neck. Sokka meanwhile has started to examine the dinosaur with....finger square frame. Okay. After a moment, the camera will go back to focus on Allen]
Yeah, as you can see- I don't think we can get this back to our ship on our own, or fit it in the ship, if we did.
[He claps his hands together] So! We were thinking...if anyone would like some meat for your ship, we'd be happy to share! Just come on by and take some! We're out in the forest, a few miles outside of the city. There's clearly plenty to go around!
Oh, and if you have a way to move it closer to the ships, that'd be even better! We'd be happy to share an even larger portion! [He glances around the forest, a bit nervous. Behind him, Sokka seems to started drawing with intense concentration, using a nearby tree stump for his surface. Allen seems to talk like he's more talking to himself than anything:] I know I'd like to be out of here before we meet his friends...
[And then he clears his throat and looks back at the camera] Anyway. That's all! Have a nice day!

[Okay now he's curious]
What sort of conditions are those?
no subject
Okay, find. The answer is sunlight. A yellow sun, specifically.
no subject
Specifically a yellow sun?
[IS THERE SCIENCE HAPPENING?!!]

[ she's obviously not naturally suspicious but she'd still like to know the people she's talking to ]

[He smiles and gestures at Sokka]
This is Sokka, he's my ship's captain and my friend.
no subject
Hi, that's me. Sokka. Also a big lover of understanding anything that isn't magic.
no subject
It's not magic, as far as I know. It's a biological effect, dependent on a yellow sun.
no subject
Do other people have that..um, biological effect?

[He can live with this, it's not Too Weird. ]
But hey, if it means we can move the T-Rex, that's awesome.
no subject
Yeah, Sokka's right! We really appreciate the help!
no subject
Yellow suns versus red suns have different types and strengths of radiation, I think. Red suns are dying, so they don't have the power that a healthy, young, yellow sun has.
But just point the way! It'll probably be easier to still break it down a bit and take trips, but this way it doesn't have to be broken down as much.

Powers with actual real science behind them. This is the best day ever. Once we move all this dino meat, I'd really love to know more.
[SCIENCE!!]

[He gestures at the t. rex. Yep. It's very big and very dead]
Anyway, this is the him. Very...big.
no subject
How did you down him again?
no subject
[He sounds pretty proud. ]
no subject
Sokka did most of the work. I just kept him from moving.
no subject
[ and she's going to try to scope out a way to grab a bunch of dino in a way that doesn't get her gooey ]
no subject
[He'll let her do that but he's sure watching her, he wants to see what she does now he knows SCIENCE!!! is involved. ]

If we figure out where to cut, I can probably cauterize it so it doesn't get even messier?
no subject
[He's trying not to come off too much like an excited weirdo, but probably not doing that great at it. ]
