[How far behind his Jon from Ghost? Because if it just around the corner he'll hear the manly shriek of surprised terror before he sees how high Vash suddenly jumped into the air in the kitchen.

He didn't mean it. Just when you're making a sandwich and letting yourself get lost in thoughts and suddenly there is something cold and wet sniffing your butt a startled yelp is of course the best course of action.

Hopefully he won't scare Ghost too much with his sudden movement and loud yelling.]

[Ghost does not actually yelp, but he does skitter backward, clearly surprised at the reaction he just got from this strange man. Jon comes in about three seconds later, scooping Ghost up with a soft huff.]

There you are. [He looks back up at Vash.] I apologize, this is the first time he's been on a ship like this.

[It's fine that Ghost doesn't yelp. Vash will do that loud enough for the both of them.] Ah, that's okay. He just, surprised me. [A lot.] So, did you adopt him here? [Seeing as Vash hasn't seen a dog around here before.]

C'mere, you. [He bends down, and Ghost all but bounces into his arms. Then he stands, idly scratching the wolf pup behind his ears.] Not exactly--did you hear of the tree? The one that gave gifts to people.

Yeah, I did. I ended up getting a red kick ball. You got a dog? [Total rip off.]

A direwolf. So did Arya. [Poor Vash. At least Jon holds back his urge to laugh at him, and all that happens is that he gives him a slightly pitying look.] Think of it this way, a ball's easier to look after.

Yeah, and won't be making a mess in my room.

Do think he'll be alright around cats?

As long as it doesn't try to intrude on his territory, I don't see why he wouldn't be.

That's good as Anders got a cat from the tree. Would hate for the dogs and cat not get along on the ship.
