If anyone - for whatever reason - wants some novelty fridge magnets, there is a sponsor crate of them on the Heron. You can take as many as you want, though there isn't that much variety.

I will note at the outset that no, there are no alphabet pieces.

[Along with this rather brief message is attached a photo of the crate's contents. Half the magnets seem to be little cartoon planets. The other half are... well... magnets.]

[Anyone inclined to visit the Heron to take up this exciting offer - or just to visit - will find Erik leaning against the crate in the cargo hold. He has a number of the magnets suspended in the air above one hand, and every few minutes he flicks his fingers, sending one flying into the hull wall.

The crate itself is emblazoned with the message "To the most ATTRACTIVE guy on the Fleet! - Magnecessities". Maybe that's part of why he looks faintly irritated.

Was there...a catalyst for the gifts? [Did you do something especially ratings worthy?]

[His lips twist briefly in irritation, before he shakes his head.]

All I can think of is that this is the first time in days I've actually set foot on the ship. I've been staying on the planet.

I've spent most of my time on the planet too. Just a few days on the Tourist. [Which isn't her ship. She was at Winn's comatose side.]

I wonder if that's what it is. A reward for specific behavior they want to see you continue. [Which is basically what she always thought. She just figured it was more generalized.]

I imagine most of us have done the same. [This planet is worlds better than anything else he's witnessed in the Fleet so far.]

Most likely. It does not entice me much.

Oh no? Not planning to behave for the sake of more odd gifts? I'm shocked. [As in not remotely shocked.]

I know. I'm very disappointing. [It's said with some level of dry humour. Frustrating as this all is, it's no one on the Fleet's fault.]

The most. [Not finding him disappointing in the least.] On the plus side, you're being an excellent distraction for me. [She should probably explain that, huh?]

Oh. I'm sorry. [That's never a good thing.] It's one of those Atroma-induced things?

Yeah. I mean, I think so. No other reasons for it to happen and medically he's fine. [She had him checked. You better believe it!]

I keep wondering if he's going to wake up with new memories. It's a deja vu I could do without.

It's a concern... I know that happens here.

It does. Kara did once already. Mm, she's from his world. [She doesn't know who Erik knows.]

[He shakes his head briefly; Kara is unfamiliar too.] But at least the odds are that he'll wake again on his own.

I hope so.

...Logan didn't. [He slipped into one and then one day his name was just gone from the ship rosters. She didn't say much about it at the time, but it hurt.]

[It's why he didn't say "he will" with no qualifiers. As little as he cares about Logan's fate - he'd never met the man here, and didn't have a good history with him in his own word - hearing Kitty confirm that those who sleep don't always wake up doesn't come as a surprise to him. Maybe it's a relic of his time in Kyriakos, where going to sleep meant being put into the pods, or the mirrors.]

Yeah. I should probably leave you to the important work of magnet distribution. Actually, Winn might want some for projects...when [She's thinking "if"] he wakes up if you want to set some aside for me.
