Well, I've heard stranger, but I have bad compatibility with horses. My brother has some unfortunate history with them, after all.

Oh, geez. I'm sorry about that. Not ALL horses are bad. In fact most of them from home are really good.

Oh, I know, I used to be quite fond of them. Well, that was before I was a fox, and it's scary to hide in a hole with horses smashing around up above. I've never seen your home, though. What's that like?

Oh it's really nice! There's all kinds of ponies over there and we take care of the weather and the seasons and the princesses move the sun and the moon! And there's lots and LOTS of parties to throw and adventures to go on!

Moving the sun? Are you all from Apollo's chariot? I can move myself around fine, you know.

Oh. Well, we don't have him in our world, and we DEFINITELY don't need chariots for moving the sun and moon! The princesses use their magic! And all the unicorns did it together until they came along.

Nnnnno I'm pretty sure if they were alive nobody'd have to move them. Or the princesses would say something about it, pretty sure they could feel something they move everyday. And Twilight had to move them herself one time, she DEFINITELY would've told us about that.

Is that so? By the time I noticed that humans existed, I was already being worshiped by an entire country. To be blunt, do you think such small existences will be noticed by the sun?

Mmm maybe not Twilight, but Princess Celestia's been moving the sun by herself for at LEAST a thousand years now. And that takes a LOT of magic to push something the sun around, right?

The sun is older than the planet itself, you know. When the earth was but a lifeless rock filled with fire and ash, when the earth was a frozen wasteland where life could never exist... One day, too, the sun will swallow the earth, without a care, because that is simply fate. Something with a span longer than that of entire planets, something on the scale of a star, the single point of light and heat in space... No matter how powerful or how much magic a mortal has, they're still mortals, you know? Do you think someone on a sun's scale can notice that? Can you look at a swarm of ants and see which one is stronger than the rest?

Well yeah, Twilight and Fluttershy were talking about how ant colonies work one time! The workers aren't the biggest ants, but there's more of them and they work together REALLY well to build their home and gather food! And there's also soldier ants that are WAY bigger than the others and help make sure all the other ants stay safe!

Oh, she sounds very skilled. And a pegasus, at that... A Phantasmal Beast of that rank must be quite something. Now, then. Can you tell me which hair in her tail is the single most lustrous? Which feather on her wings is the single most important?

What's a Phantasmal Beast? She's just another pony like me!

That's kind of a weird question, though, isn't it? I don't even know what's the best hair in my OWN tail. Do you?

Ah, never mind. I don't. That's what a mortal looks like from a god's perspective, you know? An ant in a far away hill, a single hair on a tail, one feather on a wing. The whole may be noticed, but an individual certainly won't be, no matter how important or powerful that individual is from a mortal perspective.
