I see. Could you clarify what actually happened, along with any form of trigger? For example, the Winter Soldier's programming was unleashed by a very specific set of phrases, and did not have an "off" trigger except the passage of time.

It was during a celebration. The Orokin had proclaimed victory over the Sentients and all of the top classes were gathered to honor us Tenno. We were decked in finery and were put on display in the chamber.

[He glances away. Everything is so fuzzy that he can't recall exacts.]

There were war drums. Around the tenth one, everything crashed and I was thrusted into a nightmare. All of us were. I don't know what caused it or how. Just that when we came to the halls were filled with Orokin blood and bodies.

A slaughter.

I then found myself on Earth, slipping in a cryopod. No idea how I arrived or how long. Only that I needed to be sealed away and sleep.

[Hmm. Assuming it wasn't deliberate by those running the ceremony - unless there were more politics at stake here - that still leaves too many variables to narrow it down. He nods, looking deep in concentration.]

Was it likely you were all affected in the same way? Would Ordis have a clear memory of it at all? [Probably not, he's guessing, but it has to be asked.] And as drums are the one thing you remember, have you listened to similar drumming since?

The only one of us who wasn't supposedly is the one called Stalker. He didn't fall under whatever we did nor did he sleep.

War drums yes. We use them in ceremonies and even the conclave. Nothing like this though. It drilled into my head until that's all I could focus on before nothing. Someone else was in control.

[He does, and he nods slowly as he thinks about everything Tenno's said.]

Understood. And you think it's something the augment could duplicate, if it were to be particularly malicious? Do you have a suggestion for how to deal with it?

I'm not sure but possibly. Last time was someone meddling with the transference so whose to say that can't happen again? Maybe someone would get some sick enjoyment out of it.

[To stop him though? He sighs heavily.]

[He nods, taking it all in.] Can you tell me about transference? The more we understand, the better we'll be able to predict what may happen.

[That's actually not too bad, and he nods.] This may seem an odd question, but do you have a preference apart from blunt force trauma? While I won't say I'm entirely invulnerable, I can be very difficult to injure by standard means.

[Should he explain this? There was evident hesitation as he weighs the pros and cons of doing so.]

As long as this doesn't spread around. Tenno manipulate their energies through warframes. Thus transference. This...isn't really me. This is my frame, Chroma, that was stripped and changed by Atroma. Frames are meant to go on until they cannot any longer, essentially breaking down.

So I won't stop unless broken. That or forced into unconsciousness to reset possibly.

[His brow shoots up in surprise. That...explains quite a bit, actually.]

Thank you for telling me. The, ah, "real you" - you aren't hosted somewhere else here physically, that you're aware of? If you're occupying a host, I can understand how that might be susceptible to manipulation.

Though if I needn't worry about giving you brain damage with a good hit to the head, that does make things somewhat easier.

For all I know, it's still on the liset in the origin system. Atroma could have meddled with the signal of transference to strengthen it or maybe even tampered it in more ways than that. I can't say anything with certainty.

...I do think it would be best to go with the knock out option. For Ordis' sake.

[He nods in agreement.] I'll see to it that's a priority. Have you spoken with Wrath as well, or would you prefer I do that? [Since she is the other Security officer....]

[He presses his mouth into a thin line for a moment.]

We've spoken about the possibility. She's seen the damage thanks to the last planet and their hand holding causing connections. She has the best idea of it all. Not so much the transference but the past.

Likewise, it's unlikely we should encounter anything capable of affecting me in such a manner. [His expression becomes distant for a moment.] However, in the event I begin acting contrary to your expectations, I urge you to contact Wanda Maximoff. She's capable of restraining me, at least--and if it should have another cause, I trust her to understand what is happening.

[And then he seems to relax, knowing there's at least one other person who knows this could happen.]

Very good. Do you believe someone of her approximate ability level would be sufficient to contain you? Of course, I'd prefer overwhelming force to subdue, but in the event that's not possible it would be good to know what level to aim for.

It's still better to prepared for the possibility that to nudge it off into the realm of impossibility. So you have my word that I will, sir.

I don't know about containing me but distracting maybe. However I don't want to go through another Winter incident with how broken she was after that. It'd be my recommendation that if this happens, she doesn't take me on alone.
