( Talking to Hank is a nice thing. He's one of the few, or perhaps only person from her world where the conversations aren't that weird - someone that you can talk to without having to think about what's happened, or what will happen in Moira's case. Charles has a lot of guilt, Erik doesn't talk to her, and Moira doesn't quite know about Raven - she's someone she doesn't know well. But Hank- he's focused a lot more on here, and it's nice to know that he has a plan. Or is trying to make one )

[in a way, he knows where he stands with Moira. He isn't completely oblivious to things, and he's pretty sure Moira and Erik aren't chatting it up as if they were old friends, and well . . . he knows Charles is complicated. He's glad that he's a "safe" option, more or less and lacking a better word. That and he likes talking to Moira. He didn't get the chance to get to know her better back home as well as Charles did.

He glances up when she enters his lab and greets her with a smile, immediately shaking his head and closing the notebook he was writing away in]

Not at all. Hi, Moira.

( There's a start of a nod that turns into a smile, and though they've become more friendly than they were able to back before the mission there's still some of the formalities that are hard to shake away, at least for Moira from her training. She's used to having to be a little stiffer and formal around most people )

What have you been working on?

[ten years separated from the CIA and he finds it hard not to react accordingly, but it isn't necessarily a bad thing. And it seems as though they're easing into an easy friendship, and he's fine with that taking its time. After all, time was strange and there was a gap between them, and while it wasn't as significant as the one between Moira and Charles, well. It was still there]

Ah - just some notes about the the Fleet. [he taps the notebook with a finger] And about the planet were just on. I like to keep records of everything.

It might be nice to look back on things that have happened if you're here a while.

( Like any memories - photos, diary entries - that you'd have at home. Moira moves to one of the other chairs, pulling it out to sit on before turning back to him )

It certainly was that - did you have a chance to explore at all?

I went shopping. ( Shh. She didn't really get much of anything but it was something of looking around ) And Raven mentioned the forest. Apparently there were dinosaurs there.

( Kidding. As Raven has been )

[HA HA HA he winces a little bit because . . . ]

Ah - yeah, there are. A couple of my friends got chased by one.

[the real joke is how everyone joked about it but there were, in fact, dinosaurs]

( Wait what? Cue surprise )

I'm glad I didn't actually meet any.

( And she'd believed Raven at first! Before Raven said she was joking )

I don't know what to do with dinosaurs.

Or don't wander out far enough to run into them, but - I hope that won't become an issue on future stops.

I might stay away from forests on principle.

Or stay closer to the populated areas? They were pretty out there when they came across the dinosaur. I don't think they expected to run into one.

Did they survive?

( Although considering that he's heard about what happened maybe that's a stupid question. Maybe )

Mm, they're perfectly fine. I was nearby when they were getting chased. I helped them out.

I hope so, too. Or at the very least, they warn us in the event there are.
