While I'm glad to hear that, it does make me wonder how many of those centuries your subjects has.

The same as any, I imagine. Immediate change, while beneficial, could easily collapse as well.

You've seen it in the Republic. Sometimes acting quickly works. Sometimes it does not.

I wasn't aware you were well acquainted with the Republic, assuming we are talking about the one in my world.

I am vaguely acquainted with all worlds. I am a pre-cognitive. I see all futures.

How's that working out for you?

As well as one would expect. It's like having visions in your mind at all times.

I can't imagine you sleep well. Or at all.

It helps to have a frame of reference. Otherwise it becomes too cryptic and bizarre.

It takes time. It's easier with prolonged contact. Then I can adapt myself.

I have too much. In what I see, in what I have in my mind. I do not wish to deliberately make people uneasy.

I do not understand. Why would they?

If you're adapting to my manner of speech, I have to wonder what you're like when you're Emperor Leto, or just Leto in his world.

[ He considers his words carefully before replying. Leto knows what kind of part he must play as Emperor. To appear merciless and cruel as he gives the people an enforced peace and serenity.

No one would take kindly to that knowledge, no matter what the end result would be. And he prefers to pretend he is not there yet. ]

"Leto" is a difficult concept to pin down. I suppose my sister would know. She is my other half.
