Come on, it's just a game! I had to pick someone to marry, didn't I, and who better than the guy I'm can share a body with, huh?

That's true, but this definitely isn't just a game. This is like a social experiment! You'd see this all the time in study journals.

If we look at it from an academic standpoint, it's more likely to tell you something about yourself! Sociology aren't my strong points, but I'll do my best to dissect this with the knowledge I have on hand. Wish I had some materials to cross-reference with, but I'll just have to make do.

But nobody here really knows about the whole Shepard thing, so really it just looks like you're marrying young. Which has its own merits; in the past, many high-ranking nobles actually ended up 'trading in' their spouses, though that was usually for the purpose of producing a viable heir... I'm pretty sure I can't give you an heir though so I guess that excuse can go in the bin.
