The broadcasting image so far is the floor, covered in multicolored confetti, and a pair of black and grey running sneakers in view. The left foot taps impatiently before the video swings again to the bridge of the Bloodsport. ]

[ There is a sigh before heavily accented voice accompanies the shoddy cameraman-ship. ] If this is someone's idea of a prank, it lacks humor.

[ The communicator finally turns around, and Pietro is very firmly not happy with this situation. ]

I have complaints.

[ Pietro can be found in various places throughout the Bloodsport. In the kitchen, trying to figure out what the deal with protein paste is. The bridge offers a bit of a distraction with the endless sea of stars or the array of broadcast settings, and how can he resist settling into the bunks? It's been a very long time since he's had his own room. ]

I wish I could say that was surprising, but . . . everyone's powers have been tampered with, more or less.

It's a sympathetic apology. My powers have been tampered with, too. Though - not to the point where I can feel it, like you and some of the other people I know.

[he smiles a bit wryly] I'm technically blue all the time, it'd be more accurate to say I "turn" into what you see now. [and then dryly, but with amusement in his voice] But I definitely punch things. And do a lot of jumping.

[Banner, though . . . didn't he read a dissertation by a Banner on the network files??]

That's right, there's no mutants where you're from - the same world as Steve, right?

How is it that you look this way right now? [ Not to be rude, BUT HOW DO YOU WORK.. This is fascinating. ]

[ He refuses to call him 'Steve' right now. ] Captain Rogers is in the same world, yes.

I take a medicine that suppresses my mutation. [it's not rude, it's a legit question] At least, for most of the day. I go back to being the real me at night.

["Captain Rogers" makes him grin a little] Does that mean you're an Avenger?

Why suppress a part of you?

[ Pietro smirks, but shakes his head. ] No, not really. My sister and I hated them at first, but the enemy of my enemy is my friend. So the saying goes..

Ah . . . [he grimaces a little] To fit in, mostly. The world as a whole just discovered mutants exist, but before that it wasn't really . . . safe, to be open about what we are. Hopefully that's about to change, but - [he shrugs a shoulder] I've had to hide since I was a kid.

[that's an unexpected answer, though. His eyebrows furrow in confusion] That's the saying, but - you were enemies first?

I guess I can understand that. Not fitting in is difficult. [ He can't imagine having to hide it since childhood, though. ]

It's..complicated. [ :') ] Misguided anger.

Mmm. It's not so bad here, at least.

[Pietro he just met you don't make him worry about you already] Ah . . . I see. Are things - alright now?

Things will be fine here. I have my sister, that's all that matters to me.

Mm, that is pretty important. I'm glad you two could be reunited.

We've been inseparable since we were young. Being orphaned does that, I guess. [ He shrugs. ] Our connection has only gotten stronger.

[ ... ] She has been alone here for too long.

[ Alone being without him. She's made plenty of connections, but no one else can understand her the way that he does. ]

Mm . . . [that's different from the Peter he knows . . . he has to wonder just how far the differences go]

Then I'm even more glad you've arrived. Like I said, I don't know her, but - [he shrugs a shoulder] No one should be without their family.

[that much, he feels very strongly about]

I am glad for it, too. Now I can make up for her lost time.

[ Except for when she goes home, she doesn't have this. The only downside. ]
