[ There's a bit of movement as the feed comes on, and there's a flash of orange and a quiet 'meow' before Hermione actually gets the camera to focus on her - and she's smiling, a little shy but still there. She might have been used to making broadcasts in the Drabwurld, but things feel a little bit different here on the fleet - and a lot more public. ]

Hi. So, my name is Hermione Granger, for anyone that doesn't know, and I was hoping to start a sort of... Greenhouse, for all of us to use, for herbs and plants for the labs. I just wanted to see if anyone had anything that they wanted to grow there?

[ She stands up, moving to one side before she turns the feed, pointing it down at her desk where there's an odd assortment of seeds organised into little pots, all with neat labels and ordered into fewest to most, for those that care. There's a garden there already, but having one entirely dedicated to herbology might be useful. ]

I have a handful already, and I think I can handle setting things up with a bit of transfiguration, but if anyone had some ideas or wanted to help I'd be more than happy to listen. It won't be on the Vanquish, of course, but somewhere on the Iskaulit for anyone to use... Eventually. I'm not entirely sure how long this sort of thing might take to set up, honestly. I'm hoping to build a little potions room, too, if anyone's magical like me.

[ ... At least she has dirt, literally, from the planet? ]

[She nods.] Least where I'm from, they are.

Where I'm from, originally, there's a range of schools across the globe. Mine was for students from Britain, but there were dozens of others for all the other countries. Each one had hundreds of students each.

I think maybe it used to be that way for us, but we got hunted and scattered. I didn't ever even meet another witch until this year.

[brainiest]

Oh, that's terrible. I'm sorry. [ And she does look genuinely apologetic. ] Well, I - if there's anything I can teach you I'd be happy.

[mistyday]

I really appreciate it... I only got to go to the academy for a couple of months, so I've had to learn pretty much everything on my own.

[brainiest]

That's fine - I went to school for six years, and I taught people in the Drabwurld. [ She pauses, considering. ] Do you use a wand, or...?

[mistyday]

No, but [Her eyes light up.] Does that mean you're from the same world as James?

[brainiest]

James - you mean James Potter? [ Oh, jeez. ] Yes, I was.

[mistyday]

He showed me some stuff when he was here - real sweet kid, but we didn't have enough time before he left. Did you know him there?

[brainiest]

I... I knew him. [ Sort of. Knew of him? Knew his son? Knew practically everything about his life? It's complicated. ] He was lovely.

[mistyday]

I'm glad! He was a real help to me when I first got here. Just wish he could have stayed longer.

[brainiest]

It would have been nice if he'd been able to stay a little longer. Remus, too...

[mistyday]

You knew Remus too?! Well, I guess you would, if you knew James. Those two were almost inseparable.

[brainiest]

Remus was really important to me. [ She softens, bowing her head a little. ] He didn't remember, but that was okay. I was just glad he was happy here.

[mistyday]

Me too - and that he wasn't so alone.

[brainiest]

I'm glad he had friends here. [ And she is. Even in the Drabwurld she knew Remus had been lonely, and sad, and she knew that he suffered from his losses, too. ] But he's home now, with James.

[mistyday]

Good. I'm glad they're still together.

[Misty stop.]

[ Hermione just purses her lips, nodding before she breathes out. ]

Right, so, um. How does your magic work?

[mistyday]

Well, in my world, every witch has certain inherent powers, the things she's best at, and not every witch has the same powers or can do all the same things.

[brainiest]

Okay, that's a bit different from my world. People might have different levels of ability or power, but we can all learn the same things. It's like any subject at school - there are things you're good at and things you're bad at.

[mistyday]

I remember. James said he went to a school... Pig-something. My academy taught us spells and potions and stuff too so there's some things we can all learn, but other things we can't.

I've got the powers of telekinesis, concilium, resurgence, and divination. I only know a few spells and potions though - I wasn't with Miss Cordelia long enough to learn much. Mostly I've had to teach myself.

[brainiest]

Hogwarts. The same school I went to. [ Hermione nods her head, considering for a moment; she wants to actually build some kind of lesson plan, but...

She does her best not to wrinkle her nose at divination. She's learned better. ]

Then how about you show me some of what you can do and I'll see what I can teach you?

[mistyday]

Well... Ain't anyone to bring back from the dead and divination ain't like... palm reading or lookin' in a crystal globe or anything, it just comes when the time is right, so those I can't show you but Obi-Wan's been helpin' me with my telekinesis!

[brainiest]

Then we can start with telekinesis, if you'd like? Then I'll show you a little bit of what I know.

[ Bringing people back from the dead... That's terrifying. ]

[Promise, not as terrifying as it sounds.]
