[ tony is currently on board the pathstone, if you want to bother him in person. sitting in his captain's chair and fiddling with something in his hands, as he usually is. he's been working on a large variety of projects lately, including (but not limited to): a hovering wheelchair, reversal of brain control, and trying to reinvigorate his arc reactor that the emotional tree of life had given him for holding hands.

god, he misses home.

but as his current projects are 1) a work in progress, 2) practically non-exsitent, and 3) almost there (in that respective order), tony requires the help of the population. especially since he doesn't have the engineering augment and the pathstone lacks an engineer. figures, right? god.

anyway -- ]

[ he pauses ]

-- I'm just going to cut to the chase and say that I need stuff, and you all might have that stuff. You should give it to me so I can make even better stuff. It's going to be for the good of the general population, I promise. [ no, really ] And -- who do I have to kill to get an engineer on board? Because this would all be a hell of a lot easier if I had what Atroma considered an engineer on board.

[ is tony stark still salty over the fact that he is not, apparently, considered an engineer by the standards of the atroma? you bet your ass he is. ]

I haven't taken it apart yet, but if you find any more of them on board, hand them over and I'll see what I can do. No one weird has been on or off the ship that I know of, and I checked the logs. Anybody else have any solid ideas about where it came from, because I'm betting the answer begins with 'A' and ends with 'troma', and that's probably not good.

[ pause ]

Oh, and my superhero friends can see this, so if you're going to spill any deep dark secrets to me, in the pretense of honesty, I guess I should probably let you know that Captain America will know about it.

So Atroma rearranges the ships because they feel like it, plant some bugs, and then... what, exactly? For what purpose? They're already recording us. Supposedly. There's gotta be cameras all over the place that we can't see, in addition to the ones we can. It's like Big Brother on steroids; so what's the purpose of bugging the ships?

That's boring.

[ on both counts, to be honest, and tony is glancing over the shuttle, lips pursed. he's messed around with the ones on the pathstone a bit, but cole has an issue with... well, taking apart the ship, and tony has been generally behaving himself. so the opportunity to freely dismantle someone else's stuff is happily taken, and he rolls up his sleeves, literally and figuratively. ]

I guess stuff like this is a lot different than World War II. [ a slight acknowledgement that tony is a bit ahead in the game, naturally ] Not that we have spaceships like these, though I don't know, NASA probably has something. SHIELD has stuff like this that they hide from Uncle Sam, I'm sure... [ absently, as he pries off a panel on the shuttle unceremoniously, unscrewing it quickly and dropping it with a clang ] Tax-free, probably -- I bet I pay for the space program every April...

I won't be able to do anything without a ton of material and fine precision tools. I can build with subpar materials but it won't last long. And I had the benefit of having a stash of old Stark Industries weapons in Afghanistan.
