[ There's an audible thud as Katsa kicks a cot in front of her, bumping the bed a few feet and skewing it sideways into one nearby. Her rather angry string of anger cuts through the faint tinkling of bland, simple music in the background.
She certainly doesn't look like someone who'd be suited for an adventure in space, dressed in ragtag leather and furs that look as though she's thrown them together herself from a variety of dead animals. She also doesn't seem to be aware that anyone might be watching her; or perhaps it's more than she doesn't particularly care, for she scrubs the back of her hand across her eyes and scowls through what is very obviously only a half-hearted attempt at holding back tears. ]
You don't need me here. You can dress this up all you like—I don't have to do this. Whatever's outside that window, I shouldn't be the only one who gets to see it.

[ She shakes her head, trying to fight her smile and the tears that gather at the same time. It's hard to forget that this is a public network, but the tears bubble anyway. ]
We're - this is the Fleet, and it's lead by the Atroma. We're apparently on one big television show - as in, there are people watching us and we get rated on how entertaining we are. It's nothing like the Drabwurld at all, Katsa, and there are no courts, or kings of queens, not really, but -
[ Hermione sniffles a little, lifting a hand to wipe her eyes. ]
It's you, you're here. And I - I missed you, so much.
video
[ Katsa's incredulity rises with the volume of her voice. ]
That sounds more than enough like what I remember of the Drabwurld. [ There's something vaguely familiar about the word "television," and for some reason it makes her think of Hiro. It must have been one of his contraptions in his world. ] Can we be sure these At-whatever aren't just part of some mad plan of the monarchs'?
[ She doesn't claim to understand what that plan would be. That's up to someone else to figure out.
Katsa softens immediately when she sees Hermione sniffle, however, and she bites her lip on her own indignation. ]
...I missed you, too. For all the time it's been, I've missed you.
How can I see you?
video
[ Shaking her head, she shifts, tilting her head up and trying not to break down into her tears. ]
They're nothing to do with any of the monarchs. We don't have our shards anymore - or, at least, Gendry and I don't - and there's no one here with anything like shard magic... There are people from other worlds, though, that were taken to places before they came here, just like this.
[ Swallowing, Hermione takes a deep breath, trying to stay calm. All she wants is to rush over to Katsa and wrap her arms around the other woman, but she can't do that until she's been put on a ship. It's not that easy, and she knows it. It doesn't make it any less painful, of course, and her heart feels thick with her emotions.
Finally, she manages a small smile. ]
When - when you've been shuffled you'll be put on a ship. I can come and see you then, or you can come and see me. I'm on the Vanquish.
video
[ She trails off as Hermione grows more emotional, biting her lip, shaking her head. It's been years, and suddenly she has this dear friend in her life again, and Hermione looks as though she's about to cry.
Katsa thinks she might, too. Curse it. ]
Of course I'll come to you. [ Her voice softens. ] I'll go now, however I can find you, and you can tell me more about it all. Oh, Hermione, I never thought I would see you again. I've missed you so.
[ She reaches out for Hermione, just to touch the picture of her face with a fingertip as though brushing back her hair. ]
Did you say Gendry, too?
video
[ It's not as angry as it could have been, though, and Hermione's face cracks into a smile the more her expression drags over Katsa. Oh, Katsa is really here, real and alive and okay, and the way that her heart feels too full is probably almost dangerous. It might be a good idea to warn Caster sooner or later, just in case she feels it.
She still has to keep up her mantra of 'don't cry, don't cry', though. ]
As soon as you're shuffled onto a ship, okay? Message me as soon as it happens and we can find each other. You won't be able to leave that ship until then, but - I'm right here. I promise, I'm not going anywhere, nowhere at all.
[ And, awkwardly, Hermione reaches back before she huffs a noise, smiling fondly. ]
Yes, Gendry, and he remembers the Drabwurld. Do you know him too?
video
[ She frowns, still displeased with some of this information, but not wanting to push the subject just yet. After all, Hermione is here. In this second adventure they will be sharing Hermione is here, and that can be nothing but a good thing.
Katsa will question it later. ]
Even if I wished to leave this—is it a ship?—I don't know if I could. [ She gestures at the window, and her frown turns into a faint smile. It's somewhat forced, really, but she makes it happen anyway. ] Hermione, I can't even ell the time of day. You may even have to find me. My Grace isn't telling me anything, though I've no guess as to why.
[ The dizziness again. Katsa shakes it off. ]
I knew Gendry. We... were friends.
[ Was that what they were? At the time, Katsa still didn't know well the definition of a friend, and remembering so many years later leaves things unclear. But she cared for him, and that to her now seems as though he was a friend. ]
video
She reminds herself of it daily, even as the loneliness and longing for home creeps up on her. ]
Oh, of course, we're - we're in space, Katsa. You can't leave the Marsiva yet, and I'm not sure what kind of technology they have there, not really, but I'll bet it's enough to mess up your Grace. Don't worry, you won't be there for much longer, I promise, and then we can get you sorted out properly.
[ She remembers waking up herself, and it was far, far more uncomfortable than it had been before. She perks up, though, at the knowledge that Katsa knows Gendry... Sort of. ]
He left the Drabwurld long before we did, I think, but he still remembers it. He was a smithy there, in the Seelie Court, but...
[ She thinks she knew him, too, but so much had happened, all of her memories are a tangled mess, especially here when there's still so much going on. It's hard to remember each and every little thing that she did, all the things that happened to her. ]
