[ There's an audible thud as Katsa kicks a cot in front of her, bumping the bed a few feet and skewing it sideways into one nearby. Her rather angry string of anger cuts through the faint tinkling of bland, simple music in the background.
She certainly doesn't look like someone who'd be suited for an adventure in space, dressed in ragtag leather and furs that look as though she's thrown them together herself from a variety of dead animals. She also doesn't seem to be aware that anyone might be watching her; or perhaps it's more than she doesn't particularly care, for she scrubs the back of her hand across her eyes and scowls through what is very obviously only a half-hearted attempt at holding back tears. ]
You don't need me here. You can dress this up all you like—I don't have to do this. Whatever's outside that window, I shouldn't be the only one who gets to see it.

I... what?
[ This time there's a lot to unpack here. ]
No night is endless. Don't be absurd. The sun is...
[ But where is the sun? Katsa can't even see a hint of it. And now, when she thinks about it, her internal clock and compass that always assures her the time of day no matter how dark it is nor where she is is—uncertain. She can't tell. And the feeling is so foreign and so dizzying that upon the realization she actually stumbles back and sits down hard on one of the cots behind her.
Her next question is tinged with something close to desperation. ]
Is this not Allaidh Darach?
video;
She shakes her head when the young woman finally asks a question]
I am afraid not.
video;
[ Katsa places a hand to her forehead, still reeling. ]
Then what is this place? And what time is it? Where are we? And whom can I strangle?
video;
Should you find someone appropriate to strangle, do pass their location along.
We are in - some manner of the future, as far as I can tell. We are aboard a fleet of spaceships, currently traveling to our next stop - with will be some kind of planet, for all I know. Beyond that, I could not tell you where we are, other than "in the stars".
video;
I don't know all those words. [ She mutters her response and waves a hand vaguely. Spaceship. Planet. ] People keep speaking of ships, but I've never seen ships like this. Nor an unmoving, silent sea in every direction. How could we possibly be among the stars? I've no idea if even a single person can fly.
video;
I wish I could explain it, but I do not quite get it myself.
video;
[ Silence for a moment. Then, without lifting her face from her hands, Katsa speaks in a voice both quiet and rather thick. ]
Someone other than I would find this beautiful.
video;
It loses it's beauty after awhile. Now it just seems lonely.
But we will stop soon, on a planet where it is not night all of the time. It will get better, so to speak.
video;
[ She rubs her eyes, then looks up. ]
We'll stop... where? Will we stay? Permanently?
