voice.
Who: Sam and you
Broadcast: Voice
Action: N/A (unless plotted)
When: After this shit. Vague time is vague for plot convenience, shh.
[Sam feels like puking, thanks.
See, his friend had called him because of a suspiciously bitey vampire, and he had conversed with this vampire to find - well, he's not a fucking vampire. And of course, him trying to get the guy on lock-down did not... go that well. His brother and a certain little fae child got him back on his feet, uh. Relatively, but he still feels like he's been on the same Disney teacups a few too many times.
Regardless, he's gotta put up some serious alarm bells. You learn your lesson after Bucky's augment glitch. He sounds a bit groggy, a bit like he's got some vertigo going on, but he's also got an air of grim alert to it. This is a warning, y'all.]
There's someone going around who people may know as Sascha — something's seriously wrong with him; I'm thinking an augment glitch. That seems to be the norm from the Atroma lately, so... figures, if it is. His personality is completely off from what I'd seen before, and I was alerted to the fact that he had... bitten one of his crewmates. I tracked him down but he didn't exactly appreciate a hunter telling him he had to be put under surveillance.
[There's a dry air about that last bit; sick-feeling or not, he's a cheeky bastard sometimes, sue him. After a moment, he continues:]
He's not a vampire, though. Or at least acted like it was news to him. He says he's a Sheol - I'm unfamiliar with this race of creature, so I can't really help, but. Uh. His bites are toxic and cause numbness, sickness, and immobility. That's how he disables his prey. He got me, too, but I got lucky there.
I don't know where he is now, but please be careful. Keep a look-out. Any information you have on his abilities or any reports of attacks from him would be appreciated. He may be calm and he doesn't seem to be bloodthirsty. Yet, or otherwise. But he's detached and clearly capable of hurting others.
... Stay safe.
[As he closes the feed, you can hear him grumble exasperatedly - ]
... He licked me...

Huh?
[Wait. He's talking about the blood bank fridge]
Oh, for the blood bank? Nah. I'm rubbish at magic. I made the crosses, but a mage came and did the wards for us. They're mostly to ward against would-be blood mages and demons.
no subject
[NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD.]
... Just, y'know. It's all fascinating.
no subject
He's not I'm afraid, he left some time ago.
Anyway...where were you bitten, exactly?
no subject
Here, on my palm. Near my thumb.
[Allen may notice more than just the weird demon aspect — Sam's got a pretty thick scar on his palm that has been made extremely padded by cutting it open again and again to use as a center-point for pain. There are also, unfortunately, scars across his forearm that may look more tragic than they actually are.
'Cus, y'know. They're not actually self-harm, but you can't exactly explain at first glance that you cut yourself open for your profession. :|]
The hand's still kind of numb, actually. Kind of a mercy I think.
no subject
[He notices those scars alright. The scars across the forearm he doesn't think much of, it's typical for demon hunters to be covered in scars. As for the one on the palm...well, he can tell the telltale signs of being cut multiple times. Allen wasn't unfamiliar with spells that took blood for payment, but...it sure made him wonder just exactly what kind of activities Sam was doing to require to be cut that many times.]
[But he actually won't comment on them. Instead the first thing he does is pull out Beverly's tricorder and start scanning the area around the bite.]
Looks like the tricorder is picking up traces of the venom, but I'll still want to take a few samples for a closer look.
[He glances away from the tricorder and up at Sam]
Though before I do that, is there anything should I know about you that could tamper with the samples?
no subject
....]
No, no. Nothing that I know of, no.
[Demon blood doesn't mess up anything, right? It never has before, right?
Er, he's not sure how it would respond to sheol toxin. But. It... should be okay...]
no subject
[Yeah. Calling bullshit right now]
Sam, you're practically glowing from dark energy.
If I was going to attack you, I would've done so at the entrance.
no subject
Then concerned and mildly anxious, under a thin film of playing innocent.
That really surprised him, Allen.]
What do you mean?
no subject
I'm an Exorcist. We're like demon hunters, but we have special abilities. One of mine is that I can see dark energy- or the energy that goes along with the undead and demons.
I didn't expect a Winchester to set off my eye, but I've seen stranger things. Still, I need to know for the sake of the samples.
no subject
It's, um. It's not like that, okay? I was infected when I was a baby.
It doesn't come up in blood panels or anything. It's — it's not... I'm not bad.
[Tongue-tied about it, maybe, but he's good. He's come to grips with that.
He's not evil, he's just Sam, y'know?]
no subject
It's okay, I didn't ask you if you were bad. I already know the answer to that question. You aren't the first good person to set off my eye.
[He's long given up the notion of everything existing in black and white. It just wasn't that simple.]
Some forms of dark energy can be extremely dangerous for people to be in contact with. It has nothing to do with you as a person, it's just the composition of the matter. I'll be fine, but I want to make sure it's safe before I let others look at the samples and data. That's all.
And I promise, I'm not about to spill your secret to anyone else. If I can share the information about the venom without mentioning anything about your...condition, I will.
no subject
Sorry, um.
... It's usually something that comes up. Good vs. evil, all that. I appreciate that, though — not mentioning it... I've had a sour history of people learning a little too much about me and making things rough.
[He smiles, partly a wince.]
I'm a hunter, but I know the other side, y'know?
no subject
[The other side...]
Yeah. I know how that is.
[He was an Exorcist that was a host to a Noah. He's met good demons and angels who are no better than Akuma. Things were complicated, especially in places like here. But there were a lot of hunter-types who wanted to keep their eyes closed to that fact. Maybe they had been through too much, or that's the way they were taught. It was easier for them to keep things simple, no matter what.]
[ There were reasons most of Allen's Exorcist work tended to be done alone these days. ]
[But Allen refrains from divulging anymore than that. Was it cold to let Sam keep thinking he was the only one in this room with that problem? Maybe, he did feel a little guilty about it. But unfortunately, Winchesters weren't exactly on his "Most Trusted" list. With the number of times Crowley's had to convince Dean not to kill him, the last thing he needed was them getting wind a demon host was running the blood drive.]
Don't worry. Unless there's people getting hurt, I'm not interested in waging a war. Those never work out, and in the end innocent people are the ones who end up suffering for it.
So your secret's safe, promise.
no subject
Small mercies, really... It's nice when people are kind about such a dangerous topic.]
Um. You wanna - take some samples, then?
[A small smile.]
no subject
[He gives an embarrassed smile]
I'll get right on that.
[And yep, he'll just get ready to prep all that yep yep]
