[hiro has claimed a corner spot in the engineering lab. many things from his shop on the bishop are here, but he hasn't abandoned his home shop at all. currently, he's spinning in the chair he's got. then he sets the camera down on the desk, facing him.]

Heeey, all you engineer-types, and not just the ones with the augment! Have I got a proposition for you. I've got a little project I'm working on--a repair project. It's a little outside my current scope, plus I don't think it's safe to be working on it alone. It's a... very advanced prosthetic. [he figures those who know about the attack two months ago will pick up on this.]

Anyway, I need some help. And I guess, if anybody wants to learn a thing or two about robotics from the professionals, you can come watch when we get together.

[ not that tony sounds particularly bothered about that, or surprised. bucky's arm is damaged, someone should probably fix it. it's a thing that should probably happen. and tony could certainly fix it, but... ]

I've worked with vibranium before. I know a guy. [ like. his dad. and also like half of his friends. ] And seeing as I'm probably going to get complained at and fake-ordered into helping, I might as well just volunteer first. Maybe they'll be so surprised they'll forget to thank me.

I'm the captain at the Pathstone, and I don't have the engineering augment, but I don't need it. [ he's still salty af that his ship has no fucking engineer so he's just going to pretend he can totally do both ] I also know who you're dealing with. He's from my world. Not my friend. My friend's friend. Mutual acquaintance who hasn't tried to kill me yet but I'm sure it's coming one day.

Fifteen. Sixteen in less than two weeks.

[he looks down at himself.]

... I was fourteen when I got here. [as if he's so sure he'll be bigger in two years' time back home.]

[ if tony is put off by the age, he doesn't show it -- after all, he graduated MIT when he was fourteen. youth is no indicator of wisdom or stupidity, just like age doesn't inform intelligence. there's value in world experience, but basic skill? not really. ]

Wow, you're not a fan of Winter.

And kind of. I'm in college for robotics at the best school in the country, got in on scholarship because of an invention of mine. Plus here, I've been responsible for a magic-conducting prosthetic arm, heat lamps, composting systems, advanced alarms, music systems, and repairs made on like 90% of the fleet.

So... not at home, but it's my second shot at it here?
