[ So by now at least some people should be aware that Sascha isn't...him. Sam's made sure of that. But luckily it actually wasn't too hard to round him up? Really all that happened was Kara asking and him agreeing to "stay put" until it either wore off or they figured something out. It's not like he has any plans to be anywhere, and worst case scenario? He can just outlive them all if worse comes to worst.

Being under house arrest in a lecture hall isn't really that bad. He gets to keep the lights off at all times, every now and again they have someone bring meat in... It's actually rather peaceful. Dull, mind you--but very peaceful.

He's the perfect model prisoner! So the question is...do you dare visit? ]

I've known my fair share of monsters, but it's not what they are that makes them good or bad. It's what they do. Their choices. Regardless, it's the difference between life and death to know the characteristics of any supernatural creature.

We're Sheol--not humans. [ Because that would be a very human thing to do, wow Sam. Sheol pride themselves on control and composure because it's necessary and the only way for them to exist. They take very great care never to 'destroy.' ]

Sorry, I'm not particularly trusting of your opinion on what can and can't destroy at large. [He squints, considering the man.] Everything is capable of losing control; not just humanity. Thing is, I already know how to deal with violent humans. Sheol trying to murder, not so much.

Again--murder is a human trait, not one of Sheol. We are entirely different species so to compare us is an exercise in futility and redundancy. Yes Sheol have the capacity to give into the hunger. But no, we do not. We must not.

[He is hardly swayed by such a flimsy argument, and it reads easily; not that he cares that it does. That's what anyone says. And Sascha's argument is terrible to him when Sam's current predicament with him is a.) jumping and biting Nami, b.) hurting Winn, and c.) chomping on his hand after telling him point-blank he was hunting after him, wondering how he'd friggin taste. He's been put away by Hermione and the others not because he's incapable of murder.

[ Which is, honestly, insulting. The Sheol considers himself as verse as any predator can be in their prey and he knows for certain that when one animal kills another it's not considered murder; it's hunting for prey; food. The term 'murder' only ever comes up in relation to humans who kill one another. And he is most certainly not human. He is a predator hunting prey for food, not pleasure or sport or hobby.

He does just as his instincts incline him to and nothing more.

His eyes narrow at Sam. ]

If you came here to not even try understanding anything I'm going to say, then I suppose you are. Because I certainly have no desire to talk to another of your kind's self-righteous, self-assured zealots who will believe nothing but what they wish.

[ He motions with a hand to the door. ]

Sheol are not human, we do not act human, and we do not murder humans. We hunt for what food we need and nothing more. To us the likes of humans, vampires, and what you consider 'beasts' are all as important as one another. The only thing that sets humans apart from the rest is that they choose to kill their own kind.

Getting pretty flustered about being compared to a human; sounds like you look at things with your own tinted glasses, man. You seriously think humans are the only species that kill their own? You should get out more if it's new to you, because you're as wrong as hell.

It's not like he had a big interest in interacting with Sascha (well, the guy didn't give the best impression, being a chronic bed-sneaker), and now Sam definitely prefers to keep his distance and just check in on Nami instead. Giving this guy a chance seems like a terrible mistake.
