Hi everyone, this is Lucky. Say "hi" Lucky.

[There's a dog in Clint's room. Some sort of beat-up mutt of a golden lab. The dog's left eye is completely missing and he moves a little unevenly, either as a result of old-age or because of another unseen injury. He's a happy dog though, despite it all.]

[Lucky looks up at Clint and tilts his head quizzically. He gives a quiet ruff, but in all likelihood he doesn't know where he's supposed to be looking. Clint tilts his own head the opposite way.]

He's gunna be on the First Breath some days, and on the Blameless other days, so don't be surprised if you see him around. You can pet him if you want, but not if you're wearing a tracksuit. Just, fair warning. Oh, and he doesn't like clowns.

[These might be unnecessary precautions - Lucky isn't averse to clowns or tracksuits themselves exactly, but the last thing they need is someone getting bit. So... ]

He's a good dog. Likes pizza, don't you? Likes everything, but especially pizza.

[The dog is distracted by a low whistle. The camera follows Lucky as his ears perk and he picks himself up to lope enthusiastically over to Kate Bishop. She's sitting on the edge of a footlocker at the end of Clint's bed. She sets aside a mug of coffee in order to give Lucky an affectionate scratchy head-rub.

Clint watches, mock-defeated.]

Clint? Where precisely is he going to defecate?

[He arches an eyebrow, but it is Clint. If he says he'll do something, he'll do something.]

You could probably do a water-bowl pretty quickly right? One of those metal ones? And another one for food.

[A shrug.]

I can put food and water in whatever, but people on the ship might not be happy if I used stuff they were gunna eat out of.

...As I am one of those people, I shall be delighted to start developing those bowls right away for your dog.

[Is Tyrion's dry response.]

Hear that Lucky? You're gunna have bowls.

[The dog isn't listening.]

I shall even inscribe his name upon them. [See, Tyrion is all right with having a dog. In fact, he sounds almost wistful.]

Can you draw an arrow on there somewhere? Like from a bow?

[Draw was probably the wrong word, but hell if he knew what the right word was.]

I would be delighted to. [He scribbled a design on a piece of paper, then held it up.] Like so?

That's good. It doesn't gotta be complicated.

I sadly do not have the time for complicated ... so simple it is.

[Otherwise Lucky would get himself a bowl that had a refreshing fountain on it.]

[Why? How much metalwork could he have on his plate, really? Not that Clint is bitter in any way, just curious. The thought leads on to further considerations of things that Tyrion could make for Lucky - a couple of gates maybe.

And then... oh no.]

Oh shoot - I didn't ask the Captain about Lucky.

I think that is going to be completely dependent on whether or not she actually likes dogs.

She has never had anything if not friendly to ... people who are not me, so animals should be all right.

Fun fact: in the modern world, responsible pet owners even pick up their dogs' business when it happens outdoors.

All we need are little plastic baggies.

You do realize the ship's trash systems are functionally autonomous, right? It's all jettisoned, presumably. The crap won't pile up. Literally.

[Tyrion's mouth twitched up.] I am well aware of how the garbage system works, Kate. I maintain it. However we cannot flush urine out through the garbage. I just want to know what one does in the modern age about the smell?

That's the other great thing about the modern world: Lysol, and other such sundry products. [ if kate's a little defensive, then it's only because she loves lucky with all her heart. she's pretty damn pleased to have him. ]

Even still, you won't have to worry. [ a thumbs up. ] Lucky's house-broken. He doesn't do either numbers one or two where his people sleep -- and trips to the garden on the Iskaulit will only ever reinforce that training.

He makes for a good road-trip partner, too. Not that we're going on many of those.
