[boy, that interference is something else, isn't it? the buzz of static is almost painful to hear as it crackles high and sharp over the speakers today. only some of the jingle can be heard at all, but this time Diamond knows to wait until it's cleared up and the signal is broadcasting loud and clear before she speaks.]
Goodness, this weather we've been having! There has been more than just love in the ai--
[oh, scratch that. the static roars in again, drowning out her voice. it takes nearly a minute before it clears again.]
--Good gracious me. I apologize for the interruptions, folks. I assure you that the radiation is entirely harmless, and our engineers have just about finished ironing out any minor hiccups that it may have been causing various devices. And hopefully, by the end of the month, we will finally be clear of it altogether.
[and then she clears her throat, and returns to her regularly-scripted announcements.]
Despite a rather disappointing interview, the fleet has certainly made up for it by supplying us with a very memorable week! So much adventure, celebration, danger, and... oh the romance! You have tugged on our hearts, dear passengers, and thrilled us with was has been happening in the hush behind closed doors!
[she sighs, elated, as she pauses to presumably allow everyone--both drifting and viewing--a moment to reflect.]
We've lost one passenger this week, but four more have joined in! We all hope that they dive right in and enjoy the excitement of this system while they can. There has also been one transfer between crews... and it was all in the name of love. How sweet!
...And it's certainly getting a little crowded in some of these ships, isn't it? Don't forget that you can chip in to increase the space on your ships! You don't want to remain small-fry forever, do you?
Keep up the good work, dear passengers... the worlds are watching!
ooc: and between this broadcast and the 16th, Atroma's little 'fix' will kick in with each passenger... which unfortunately isn't as effective as they'd like, merely rolling everyone into phase two of the augment malfunctions. enjoy!
