[When Al begins the broadcast, he's at a set of wooden furniture he made himself at the previous planet he's set up in the Vanquish, making himself a mini workshop of sorts. He smiles shyly before speaking.]

Well, it seems like people in this star system take their factions very seriously... so I thought I'd offer to make clothing for people from my alchemy, in case you decide to ally yourself with one of them. I can make it for any color scheme you want, as long as you can provide me with the raw materials! I'd hate for someone to get in trouble if they don't blend in. ... or be overcharged, like I was when I went to dinner earlier.

Do they truly overcharge? I suppose that is why no one seemed to fuss overly as I came through this particular area...

Yeah, I had on more neutral colors, so I think they realized I'm not from around here and hadn't committed to one group yet.

Mm, I will have to be careful if I wander through other areas, then - no one seemed to fuss, here, but if I pass well enough, perhaps they would not.

Mmhmm- I don't think anybody will attack you for being part of a rival group, but they'll definitely treat you differently.

Hm, an ... interesting setup. I am sure clothing is not the only thing that separates them, but visual cues are always useful.

I will see what I can acquire in this district then. [ Maglor nods ] Although I suspect that if they charge me fairly here I will struggle elsewhere, and you may need to source those from someone else!

It most likely goes deeper than that, I agree. I'm sure we'll find out more the more time we spend here.

I can also disassemble other pieces of clothing and remake them according to your measurements. Color is trickier, but resizing wouldn't be a problem.

Heh, I am tempted to leave colors alone simply to see how honest - or not! - their merchants are. But I will remember, thank you Alphonse. Apart from cloth and the like, what else are you keen on sourcing?

Mmhmm- it'd be interesting to see what caused the separation, too.

Well, I'd also need buttons or zippers if the clothing required. Or metal of any sort if someone wanted me to make jewelry, along with embellishments- stones and so on.

Hm, well I have access to Spirit's libraries, but obviously one would assume such sources to be biased... still, it would be a place to start.

[ Maglor hums thoughtfully ] I will see what I can source from Spirit's markets, then.

Yeah... if they guard their information so tightly, it probably conforms to their ideals. Knowledge is still knowledge, though.

Exactly. Truth can be subjective. I'd be most interested to hear what caused the conflict, myself- and I'm sure each team would give a different answer.

Agreed - I wonder if Moxie and Savvy have their own libraries? I imagine it would be hard for me to gain entrance, but... you have not aligned yourself yet, eh?

Not yet, no. I don't intend to if I can avoid it at all, but if I did, Savvy seems to align with my interests and values the most.

I do not know if I could act well enough for the other two! But it might be worth the attempt.

Aye, the answer is to not get caught, eh? Well, Spirit apparently values scholarship and knowledge, which I think will not make it hard for you to pass here, at the least!
