[Nami's been in a bad mood of late. Mostly it's to do with Sascha and trying to shove her own feelings down and trying to deal with it in a responsible way because some jackass luck of the draw happened to make her Captain. Hooray! The bite has healed enough it just looks ugly instead of actually hurting (it itches, thanks so much for that), so she still keeps a loose bandage over the top. No big deal. She'll get over it. There's not much choice.

She works off her grouchiness at the bar in bits and pieces. She was doing pretty well until a box turned up in her bedroom addressed to Captain Nami.]

One piece--

[No, that's not a pun I swear. The feed clicks on to Nami's furious face, tapping the screen with one section of blue metal piping that a handful of people might find familiar.]

Problems with shipping? Delays in processing? IT'S A MATCHED SET! Why would you even break this up!? If you've lost the other parts I'm going to--

[RANT USELESSLY AT EVERYONE APPARENTLY. She shuts her mouth with a snap, fingers wrapped around the climatact piece in a crushing grip, before she suddenly smiles sweetly.]

Thank you so much for finally processing my claim, Diamond. Or whoever. At this rate I'll only have to submit those forms another eight times!

Don't think I don't know you're doing this on purpose. [And finally she pulls back, tapping the piece in hand before pointing it in the vague direction of her closed door with a dark mutter.] I bet it doesn't even work r--

[FWOOM.

...that'd be the sudden howl of wind punching through the air much like this, only more powerful and far less gracefully, given Nami went flying in the other direction with a yelp. There's a long moment of silence, punctuated by the sound of several maps falling off the walls, and the broadcast picks up nothing but the visuals of a room that looks like a small tornado just went through it.

[She doesn't take long in any event, but it gives her enough time to cool down so she doesn't stomp into the bar when she arrives. She's brought the offending piece of weaponry with her, jammed into the holster at her hip with two other pieces that are just plain wood.]

[Snort. But she smiles anyway, sliding into the seat opposite.] Give it time. The Atroma have really liked keeping us on our toes lately.

Enemies, I believe. I worked out a truce between one . . . but I doubt he'll keep it.

I guess they really are trying to liven up the show. Subtle or unsubtle enemies?

[ Hux's attempt on Poe and his lack of knowledge over what happened with the Republic still has Obi-Wan confused. He had his fair share of incompetent enemies but he doesn't think Hux is one of them.

That being said, Hux still strikes him as . . . low on the scale of danger. ]

Okay, so. Personal enemies, or bad news for everyone?

[Personal ones can be... none of her business, honestly. Obi Wan is a competent kind of guy.]

He's a general. I don't think he has any powers beyond stirring people up.

[ He's sure if he asked around, people would say fun things about Hux. ]

And the people in the Fleet are generally smarter than that.

Generally. [Drily. But eesh.] A general, huh? You go big with your enemies.

I'll keep that in mind. Mind me asking his name?

[ All his enemies tend to be that way. Maul, especially. ]

[She gives a grin of appreciation at that. But.]

Hux, huh. I'll keep that in mind. I know there are a handful of people in the Fleet who like to stir up trouble, so it's always good to know ahead of time who they might be.

No. And I doubt he'll foster recruits. He has a distorted view of our history, but his actions and words speak for himself.

[ That's the question isn't it? Obi-Wan tends to shy away from labels like that. He knows that Anakin uses them to separate themselves . . . but Obi-Wan couldn't do the same. ]

[Nami smiles faintly. She's a pirate and Hux is a general, and she likes Obi Wan besides. There's a distinct bias there.]

I gotta say he can't be causing you too much trouble right now if you still want to trade for some of the chaos on my ship.

Mm, hard to miss. He's back to normal, now. But I haven't seen him since-- he's kind of barricaded himself in Bigby's room.

[Her nose wrinkles. Bigby himself has been kind of irritating about it.]
