[During one of her brief stop offs between planets, Mystique has come across a package left for her in the Golden’s cargo bay. Opening up the box, she scowls at the contents. It’s an hour or so later that a broadcast goes up to the Fleet.] Does anyone want clothing?

[Panning the camera around her feed shows a selection of clothing laid out on the floor of the cargo bay, ranging over several centuries and decades of style, from similar to those they found on the previous Green planet, to more ‘futuristic’ styles as predicted by earlier eras.] I don’t need them. Don’t send them to me again.

[ is that her ship's cargo bay covered in clothing? yes, yes it is. barriss is off the golden, but has to respond to try to be pragmatic anyway. ]

At least the timing's good, if anyone requires clothing of a different colour for faction-related reasons?

[There is a long glance at the screen towards Barriss before Mystique's gaze returned to the selection of outfits, eyeing them up now by color than the time periods she had laid them out in.] I suppose you are correct. [It was a good point.] Are you requiring a certain set of colors?

If there's anything particularly modest in greens or reds, that could come in handy for cross-faction bartering. Or anything with a large continuous skirt I can steal for fabric. No one's complained about the black basics yet, at least.

[There was a moment of hunting through the lines of clothing before Mystique angled her com towards a form covering green dress.] Would that work?

That'd be perfect, actually. Set it aside for me, if you don't mind.

Of course, and if I find any others that seem suitable I shall hold them aside for you as well. [Not like it would be difficult, Mystique was more than capable of taking on Barriss' form to make sure they could be presentable. She was all too well aware that 'unusual skin tones' made picking clothing made for those with 'normal complexions' could be difficult.]

I assume you are covering two of the factions on the planets, considering your choice of colors.

Thanks and... all three, actually. [ she makes a face like she didn't realize how sketchy that was going to sound until it actually came out of her mouth. ] My usual attire lets me fit in just fine with Spirit and honestly they're a comfortable bunch to be around for me, but it's- ah. Just in case I'd like to have a look around everywhere else without looking suspect.

[Mystique offered a hint of smile to the expression Barriss made, slightly amused at her hesitation.] As am I. All three offer items the others don't have, it's only smart to cover all bases and have all options available.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it that way. Factions aren't something we can change, but being delicate in navigating between the three is our best bet to not aggravate anything while we're here. And Spirit's weapon selection is... small.

Yes, I'm however concerned for those who are not as skilled in weaponry having access to EMP devices while we on such ships, [The idea of losing power while out in space was a little terrifying.] But considering the equipment we have on board, I actually don't mind the weapons being part of Spirit provides, more discreet. [And discreet worked well for her.]

Both of those are good points. I'd like to think that our fellow members of the Fleet aren't so reckless as to be able to set off an EMP weapon while on board one of the ships. And surely someone would be able to catch an intent to do us harm.

Yes, well we know that is certainly a possibility, considering what happened to our communications. [That had not sat well with Mystique, she had been furious that someone had managed to get on their ship to plant such a device. And equally angry it took the device failing for them to even know it was there. It was sloppy of her, for her to allow that to happen. She should had done better.]

True, but- [ but being paranoid rarely helps. it had turned into one of those things barriss just didn't let herself dwell on. ] We're more attentive now. We can't be everywhere at once, but we can keep an eye on the Golden, at least.

It's a issue it had to come to this. [The words were half mumbled, Mystique's anger starting to rise and growl out it's disappointment at the entire thing. She was getting better at reining it in, then again the Fleet hadn't pushed her rage to the same point events back home had.] I suspect we should we doing more regular sweeps of the ship to ensure nothing is altered. [Her own routine had been weekly. Since the infiltration it had moved up to daily.]

I agree. In pairs, even, lest we get paranoid of ourselves.

[ she has no inclination to cause anyone in the fleet harm, but if she did, appearing trustworthy and concerned would be the easiest way to give herself opportunity to do that. ]

[Mystique offered a nod of her head, approving of the idea. It was a smart one. There was no point in jumping at shadows and looking for a threat that wasn't really there. It was a waste of energy and could only lead to making things worse, not better.] We can sort out a system once everyone is aboard again, even if it is when we are back drifting. [The planets really did make it tempting to get out and stay of the Golden and enjoy the open spaces.]

That's a good idea. [ she gives a nod. ] I'm sure if you bring it up with the Captain, he'll agree with us. Always better to be safe than sorry.

I shall. [It was so nice having some more level headed members on the crew, not all of them had been.]

Do you want me to leave the dress in your room for when you return to the ship?

That would be perfect, Mystique, thank you. And good luck getting rid of the rest of it.
