When: Monday evening.

Hold on. [The small voice is somewhat muted at first while a communicator is being turned this way and that.] I think we’ll be able to reach others with this -

[With the communicator finally facing the right way, the image of a small girl comes into focus. Her hair is in the same style she will wear when she is older and much of her clothing is similar too.]

Isn’t your name Armitage? Can I call you Armi?

That’s not my name though… [Another voice, this one also younger and uncertain can be heard then and when the communicator shifts there is a 5 year old with sharp blue eyes and orange hair. He’s wearing a fitted uniform of an Imperial officer though the only insignia is an armband around one arm bearing the symbol of the Galactic Empire. He still has some dust on his clothes, a small cut on one cheek but his expression is determined.] I just need to find the Commandant and the fleet before they leave.

Someone will know. [Rey has the simple trust of a child, though recently her trust has been badly shaken. Being left on a remote desert planet will do that to you. However she is three or so years older than her companion and she feels the need to take charge and soothe his worries.]

If anyone can hear, we’re looking for the...Commandant? I’m also looking for Jakku. [Though she really, really doesn’t want to go back there. But her family might come back and look for her.

She takes a deep breath.]
I need to go back to Jakku, but I like it better here. Armi has been really nice and I don't see very many kids in the desert.

[The nickname is sticking and there is obviously a growing affection for the small boy.]

Action: On the Golden
When: September 23rd, because shuffle!

[By now, everyone must be used to people wondering how and why they're here, and then perhaps throwing confused temper tantrums over being here. Surely the new passengers ought to be filled with questions for all the lovely people within the Fleet to answer? Or perhaps accuse everyone of kidnap?

After being on the Marsiva, and now being on this little ship, Espio has managed to work his way through what confusion he had, and now he's just... angry. If he could encrypt this somehow, there would be a very angry wall of incomprehensible ranting on the network as he vents, but since his ID number will be associated with him eventually, his anger is condensed into two simple sentences that express none of his feelings and don't help him feel better at all:
]

That's the third time. Hope you know I hate every single one of you.

[No signature is given. He doesn't care to identify himself right now.]

[And on the Golden...

The confetti was unappreciated. The pudding... well, okay, that got eaten, because while it was kind of plastic-tasting to him it was still a free sweet. Espio isn't particularly inclined to explore his new surroundings, though. He's kind of still mad at said surroundings. His exploration of the vessel is therefore slow, consisting mostly of lurking in corridors or on the bridge, pulling faces at things, and shooting any fellow crew members an irritable glare rather than doing the sensible thing and introducing himself.

Okay. So. I barely wake up in bed on this strange ship afore I appear on another one, and all I get for my troubles is a cup of pudding? No "hello, here's a recording explaining everything"? A nice dinner, maybe? 'least it tastes like actual chocolate... [She sighs, then softens up.] I been watching the network a bit, so I'm just gonna skip the part where I demand to be taken home. So, uh, I guess I'll just say hello. I'm Kaylee, I love ships n' engines, so at least I'll feel a little at home here, but other than that, I ain't quite sure what's going on.

I have been trying to avoid getting roped into this nonsense with the different factions, but it's looking more and more inevitable that I may have to join one. Has anyone taken a particular liking to theirs?

I have to admit, though... it's times like these that make me wonder why I am still here. Does the audience enjoy my rebellious nature in refusing to choose a side? Am I only here because of my skills? It's something I have been pondering a lot lately.

... I still don't get it!!

Why'd they got three teams? How do you pick which one? How come it's split up for everyone? I don't know where I should go... and I wanna be everyone's friends. Can't I just be Team Fleet? I wanna be Team Fleet... Or Team Moons! Because we shouldn't even split up, 'cus we're all on a team together already, aren't we? This is kinda weird... And I don't know which one I should be...

[A moment of thought. And then - HUFF.]

Even when I was fighting aliens and I was on a team, we still all worked with the other teams... We had to survive together!

[Survive is a big buzzword for him, m'kay.]

The moon people fight each other all the time! I'd get tired of arguing so much, I think my head would fall right off...! Why doesn't everyone just join together and make a super team that's got lots of strengths? How come they're gonna make life harder for themselves and start causing trouble with each other?

If we all put brains n' braveness n' surviving all together, we get something good!

Don't we?

Who: Allen Walker
Broadcast: Video
Action: SS Blue Fish
When: Today

[For those who've been here awhile, a familiar scene comes onto the feed. Allen's standing behind a table in the Blue Fish clinic. The lab itself looks a bit more...cluttered than usual. It's what happens when the person who keeps things orderly vanishes. Timcanpy is behind him on the shelf, wearing a small orange hat]

Hello everyone. If you don't know me, I'm Allen Walker, one of the medics aboard the Blue Fish. Nice to see you all again.

Just a couple announcements today! We'll be holding our bimonthly blood drive this weekend. The blood donated is kept for medical emergencies that require a blood transfusion. In other words, we use scientific methods to help someone whose lost a lot of blood. If you donate, we'll gladly pay you!

If you're interested and are over the age of 16, please fill out the form attached to this video. [And what do you know, it's there] If you're interested in volunteering, please let me know. Vampires and similar beings interested in volunteering will need to be able to have restraint around blood and will not be allowed to sample the blood. The blood drive will be held on the SS Blue Fish, as usual.

And as always, there will be cookies to anyone who volunteers or donates.

Second, I want to thank everyone who volunteered to help out with the first aid kits. We've managed to make good headway on them, though there's still more to be done if you're still interested in volunteering. Largely, we need more medical supplies, people to assemble the kits and people to help distribute them. If you're interested in having a first aid kit for your business, ship or shuttles- please let me know.

[And for the last part...his smile seems to die down some.]

Finally, at this point it'd be...irresponsible for me to continue to overlook the fact that there have been a number of augment glitches in the past few months that have turned...dangerous.

[He hesitate a moment before speaking.]

I don't know why the change, and honestly you can speculate why in your own time. But speaking as someone who lived in a place that'd have similar issues....the best thing you can do is prepare. Make sure crews know what to do in case of an emergency, whether that be evacuation routes or defensive measures. Make sure there's more than one plan as well, just in case the first one doesn't work or doesn't apply.

If there's a cause for concern that a glitch could affect you in a dangerous way, speak with the people you trust. Develop plans or preventative measures to help minimize the danger. Don't try to take care of the problem all by yourself and don't assume the worst won't happen to you. I know it's by no means easy to share such things and I'm not going to pretend you can or should trust everyone in the fleet with your secrets, but ... [There's a pause as he's clearly thinking about something bad, but he clears his throat and carries on] Well, it's better than the alternative.

Anyway, that's all I have to today. Thank you. [And the feed cuts out]

[OOC: As usual, the blood drive will be handwaved! First Aid Kits can be handwaved as well, but feel free to use them as a means for threads whether it be supply gathering, assembly or giving them to people]

[Panning the camera around her feed shows a selection of clothing laid out on the floor of the cargo bay, ranging over several centuries and decades of style, from similar to those they found on the previous Green planet, to more ‘futuristic’ styles as predicted by earlier eras.] I don’t need them. [the view of the video swivels until adelina is in the frame, and she smiles. laser sword!! so cool!! it cost an obscene amount but she's satisfied.]

I am curious, though, as to what faction everyone has chosen and the reason for that decision. I can see the merit in each group, to be perfectly honest, so I would like to hear other perspectives.

[Ever since her visit to the green planet before their departure, and her conversation with General Hux, she's been playing mute aboard her ship; observing, listening, using a minimalist pantomime where absolutely necessary. [There's a distinct smell of smoke when the comms fry, on the Golden, and a horrible electronic whine just barely within the high range of human hearing. The ship blinks off of fleet radar. Fifteen seconds go by, and the system fails to reboot itself. Thirty seconds. Sixty.

By the time any of the rest of the crew can come investigate, a bespectacled man with his sleeves rolled up is elbow-deep in the comm array, a small flashlight between his teeth. He hasn't been around the ship before, no one will recognize him. The ship's had all the equipment associated with a Communications officer for a month now, it's just that nobody's touched it, or even showed up to claim the title. So maybe this is the guy making an appearance, finally? Then again, it's a little weird that he's never come out of his cabin for meals, if he's been here that long.

The man waves over anyone who gets close and pulls the flashlight out of his mouth to hand it to them, if they'll accept it.]

[It's thirty-six hours into the rebuild when the systems suddenly click back on in a burst of static and feedback. Muffled, triumphant cackling is audible down the entire main corridor of the Golden. The ship comes back into radar detection. On the communicator network, an unfamiliar male voice crackles to life. Anyone who's heard Bill's real voice in a dream won't recognize this one - he's borrowing it from a friend.]

Who: Gendry
Broadcast: NEVER
Action: On the Iskaulit and the Golden
When: August

The Golden

He'd went to sleep in his nice comfortable bed on the planet, completely oblivious to the notion that the fleet would be leaving that very same night. It was simply one of those things for which he'd had no intention of worrying about it. He woke with a start later because his augment was designed for one thing, which was to tend to the ship's engines. So when the ship began to sound just a bit ragged, he instinctively rolled off the floor the Atroma had unceremoniously dumped him in.

So they were right. He muttered some curses, then pulled himself up to his feet and went to work. After an hour making careful calibrations and monitoring the sensor readings (thank gods he'd learned to read!), he was finally able to return things to what he thought was comfortable. He would afterwards reflect that he really had absolutely no idea what he'd been doing, but the important thing was that the ship hadn't blown up and that this was about the best anyone could hope for. Though as he looked at the contents of what he had to work with, an idea had begun to come to mind.

Some days later, his crew would find him having already removed many of the panels off the stove as he tried to find a way to increase the heat. This was only his preliminary efforts, but he was fully convinced that he could cobble up the components he would need to make a workable forge up here in space. He had the experience, the knowledge, and absolutely none of the permission required to make it a reality.

(tl;dr: find gendry tearing up the kitchen, working on the ship, or paying a little too close of attention to what the exercise equipment is made of.)

The Iskaulit

At some point, someone had the decency to tell Gendry that he wouldn't have to live the rest of his life confined to one tiny ship trying to take things apart in order to stay busy. Instead he was able to live his life confined to several ships, one of which was large enough to be its own sort of marketplace. So one shuttle ride later and he was there!

There was absolutely nothing that interested him. The purpose of the gym eluded him, he didn't want to meditate, he barely could read so books were right out, he wasn't feeling particularly devout, and he hadn't been long enough away from the planet to feel particularly sentimental about seeing plants being grown. So that only left the space bar. With the well practiced ease of a man who spent an awful lot of time on a medieval world, he ordered an ale. What he received wasn't quite as frothy or watery or dirty as what he was used to drinking, but it was certainly a beverage. Eventually a few drinks later and he finds himself sitting on a bench in the public art display, staring at the mural of an artificial sunset.

(tl;dr: gendry can be found at the bar, checking out the art exhibit, or otherwise just wandering the iskaulit taking in the sights for the first time..)
