[During one of her brief stop offs between planets, Mystique has come across a package left for her in the Golden’s cargo bay. Opening up the box, she scowls at the contents. It’s an hour or so later that a broadcast goes up to the Fleet.] Does anyone want clothing?

[Panning the camera around her feed shows a selection of clothing laid out on the floor of the cargo bay, ranging over several centuries and decades of style, from similar to those they found on the previous Green planet, to more ‘futuristic’ styles as predicted by earlier eras.] I don’t need them. Don’t send them to me again.

[hello, shipmate. She's wandering in when she overhears the broadcast and, being the nosy thing she is, comes over to investigate]

At one point, yes. [No comments on her age, thank you very much, not that Mystique had ever been close to revealing her age to anyone on the Fleet, bar maybe Charles. She looks away from the clothing to glance over at Tempest.] Some come back into fashion.

Goodness. [she's referring to the more futuristic and modern things, of course, because when she spots the brown dress and the golden dress, she makes a face]

These are far more familiar. Women where I am from often wear this - [she points to the brown dress]

Then the last planet must have felt equally familiar for you then. [Mystique glances to the item as indicated before turning her gaze back to the other woman and her current attire.] It's been many centuries since such items were considered fashionable from my planet.

For the most part. It reminded me of the village I grew up in. [it was a little bittersweet, but a welcome change from everything she had been experiencing back home] Your - medieval period, yes? Or around there?

Correct, or at least what history books tell of the era. History is written by the winner after all, you can't expect it to be truly unbiased. [Moving to smooth out one of the outfits so it was easier for those over the com to see, Mystique did glance to that monster of a gold dress and had to wonder how the hell one would even start to get into it. Far too many ties and laces to make it practical, both in a sense of wearing it and just putting it on.]

Oh, of course. Humans tell a very different history, I have found. At least, that is how it is in my world. [there's only a little bit of disdain in her voice]

[Mystique's expression acted out the tone that Tempest used, all to aware of what she meant.] They do like to use others as scapegoats all too readily. [Oh, it was always nice to find another who held a similar dislike to humans as she did, different universes or not.]

[her dislike of humans isn't as strong as it once was, but it's still there. It's hard for it not to be, when she still had to hide what she was no matter where she went] They have a tendency to be ridiculous creatures.

[she tilts her head at Mystique, before:] May I ask a forward question?

[Half tempted to say no, considering Tempest even had to ask, but also curious to know what it is, Mystique nodded her head.] Go ahead.

Are you Charles' sister as well?

[not "are you a mutant", because she knows the answer to that. It's obvious, and she's more than familiar with them. That, and, well, she knows Raven. So she has to ask]

[Mystique was starting to question her impact on the Fleet if many thought of Raven, and thus Charles, before her.] No, I'm not. Raven is me from another universe, one in which I am related to Charles Xavier. I am not from my universe. [Maybe she should make up cards, hand them out whenever someone asked her that.]

I see. [she only knew a little about this other universe nonsense, about people sharing faces or names or what-have-you. But a lot of it didn't involve her, so it was easy to simply accept it. So she nods, and tilts her head]

What should I call you, then?

Mystique. [As far as she was concerned that was her 'real name', bar maybe an exception for one or two people. Let Raven have their other name, she seemed to be putting it to better use more than Mystique ever had.]

Well met, Mystique. [and just like that, she accepts it and moves on, her curiosity satisfied]

As is you. [Well... not really, but she was a ship mate and Mystique had to play nice to keep the peace. She really didn't care, it was just a person sharing the same space as her and provided Tempest didn't go out of her way to start anything with Mystique, then she was content with just letting things be.

Unless she needed the woman for something, then Mystique would reconsider the way she acted. She may be far from home and her quests to secure the future for mutantkind, but Mystique had not lost her ability and concept of manipulating others to gain some sort of an advantage.]
