Like, uh. [How do you explain something like this.] Where I'm from, the officers always had these little devices that were keyed to their genetic material, and when someone sent an encrypted message they'd make it so only that officer could open it.

Yeah, maybe. [She's communications, too, so maybe she'll know how to do it? For a moment Finn misses Aphra because she probably would have known how to do this. But none of the others from his time are Engineering or Comms, so he can't go to someone who's already familiar with it. Oh well.]
