[While he's spent the last few months ignoring the fleet at large for his own interests, he's finally feeling in the mood to make an address - admittedly, again, for his own interests. Though, not entirely.

Sitting in his room on the Starstruck, Felix turns on the camera and greets it with a tiny wave of his free hand.]

I have two topics I'd like to bring up and I will try to be brief.

The first? Magic. [He lets the word hang, waiting for an invisible audience to take notice.] Many of us are not a stranger to such a thing, I know that for certain. Space seems an incongruous place for it, but at least some of the worlds we have been to have not been bereft of it entirely. The last planet seemed particularly strong in it's influence, but it seems to be that this system is the first where magic has such a strong academic presence. I'm not sure what that means, but the trend interests me.

My point is, I know there are more of you out there to whom this topic would interest. If you would like to talk...my door is open. What's more, if you have for some reason not found your way into the graces of the Spirit faction, I might be able to help you, or anyone else, procure any supplies unique to their establishments. I'd be willing to do so in exchange for a small fee or items better acquired in the other sections. Clothing, jewelry...[A pause, before he adds as a somewhat reluctant afterthought]...ship supplies.

Secondly, the library aboard the Iskaulit has not had any substantial donations for quite some time. Unfortunately I cannot curate the entire collection on my own, as much as I would like to [especially not if he keeps buying clothes and wine, but shhh]. There is plenty to occupy us here, but we all know the time drifting needs to spent elsewhere, and the library catalog is still rather limited.

If you would like to donate any books to the cause, you can find me here on the Starstruck, or you may leave them in the library. Please don't try to shelve them yourselves, I will take care of them as soon as I am able.

I have acquired a few things for the library actually.

[She holds up a book, and can't quite contain the amused smile tugging at her lips. There's an inside joke here he won't be in on, but the cover is funny enough on its own.]

I'll bring them by sometime later.

[Another mage from another world, perfect. He's glad he hasn't exhausted all the options here. Adalwolfe marks the message as private and then presses the little connect button.]

Hello, Hawke, on the First Breath. I'm a mage and I'm actually trying to conduct some research into a very specific field of study. I was wondering if you could help me.

[Felix raises a somewhat quizzical eyebrow at her offering and can't help but wondering if she's been talking to Crowley]

...Well, everything counts, I suppose.

[He raises his brows slightly at both the private channel and the name Hawke, but decides to let those questions be answered in the course of the conversation]

I would be happy to help, depending on which field that is.

[The rather dry response triggers a giggle as she sets the book side.]

I know. I know. It's perfectly ridiculous. I promise I'll get more substantial content on my next outing.

Were you considering a career in farming or is there something I have missed?

Oh. No.

[The smile stays, but she gets oddly pink cheeked suddenly.]

Arthur and I were playing a game of finding types of books. This one won the Most Ridiculous round.

[He isn't keen on the magic thing AT ALL. But he's going to avoid talking about that, if only because any magic users here might be able to deal with the Vengeance issue and he can't afford to make any of them unwilling to help their little group. ]

I will keep an eye out for books. I assume you want more than just those on the subject of magic?

[Oops no, sorry, he still said 'magic' like it tasted badly to him, sorry Felix. He marginally tried.]

Before I tell you I need to impress upon you that this should remain between you and I. If the subject of my research were to be known by a certain person...

[He struggles for a moment to find the polite and formal words to say but then just decides hell with it. It's not exactly in him, especially when he's trying to be honest.]

I'm trying to help someone who could end up being a danger - and in danger - if he doesn't get it, but he can't actually know about it because of circumstances I'll explain if you swear on your life that you'll keep this a secret.

[Well that sounded... lame. He's earnest though.]

That's a particularly heavy oath to ask of a virtual stranger...

[He can't deny his own curiosity, but the warning comes with a spark of very specific concern. He'd wanted to dance around the topic until later, but it can't be helped]

Before I do anything of the sort, I need to know...does this have anything to do with Fenris?

[Firstly, he's mostly just thrilled to hear from Fenris of his own accord. And secondly, he knows exactly the kind of effort mentioning the subject require of the elf, so he isn't in the least offended by the tone. He smiles brightly.]

Of course! I can satisfy my own interests in that regard. This is just for our library, not my private collection. Fiction, non-fiction; though more general topics are probably best for the latter. Tomes about the political history of this planet aren't likely to be of much interest once we leave, for example, but then again, you never know.

[He smiles slightly, his fear abated]

I can certainly see why? What did you win?

[Good way to deal with it Felix. Someday, he might be less suspicious of you, who knows! ]

Hmm. Very well. I have an interest in fictional stories, I will be sure to pass on those I find once I have read them to your cause. Allowing people to enjoy the written word is certainly a worthy one.

It is, but the person in question is very important to me and-

[Wait, what, Fenris???]

No? Why would it? What about Fenris?

[Adalwolfe's faces runs a gamut of expression from suspicious to protective to confusion and everything in between. Why Fenris of all people?]

Because you were companions and, as far as I tell, where any of you go Fenris cannot be far behind, metaphorically speaking. If the person in question were him or this is something you are hiding from him, I have reservations.

[To put it mildly]

[Not too long after his broadcast, Felix will get a knock on his door. When it opens, Wanda'll be standing there holding two mugs of hot tea of the both of them.]

Does the master librarian have a moment?

That isn't the case.

[He says it flatly, expression suddenly inscrutable.]

Whatever Hawke you know, I'm not him. Or her. My relationship with Fenris is complicated and entirely private, and has little to do with what I'm searching for, though he is aware of what I am doing and why.

[The situation with Vengeance is bad enough, the last thing he's going to do is attempt to explain the uneasy association he has with the elf based on an entirely failed history. That isn't for people outside of Thedas to know.]

No, it's for someone else.

[Usually singling out thorny topics is something he does on purpose, but stumbling into this patch of brambles comes as something of a surprise.

He pauses, briefly, then makes a brusque sweeping gesture. He would never not be curious, but it assuaged his overriding fear]

Then the rest does not matter. You have my promise and solemn oath. On my life. I will tell no one.

[He looks up as she enters, setting aside his communicator]

For you, my dear? Always.

[That seems like quite a feat, but he'll keep hoping]

I take it your own studies are going well?

Yes, they are thank you. The books I have found have been most helpful. There have been far fewer dire tomes here.

[He assumes dire means they contain magic as the subject matter]

There is certainly a wealth of options. I feel like every time we leave a system I'm counting down the time when we'll find the next decent library.

Any favorite subjects so far?

[He sure does. Trashy romance novels. ]

Non fiction. I enjoy a good story.

[Wanda smiles and hands Felix a mug, as she takes a seat.]

It could just be that my memory is still a little fuzzy, but I don't recall you ever mentioning that you ran a library in the fleet.

Alright.

[Adalwolfe nods, sitting back a bit. He licks his lips nervously before speaking.]

What do you know about spirits or demons and possession? More specifically, how to break a possession without hurting either party, preferably, or at least not the host.
