I am plenty used to it. I just don't feel the need to flaunt it. I don't have much use for titles.

Well, I will try not to tease too often then. But there - your friend Dezel - what is he like? Is he also tied to water, as you are?

Not water. Dezel's a wind seraph.

Wind, hm? I fear I had little to do with Lord Manwe - it might be harder for me to see him that it was with you. Although I know what you "sound" like - hopefully it will not be too hard to adjust.

I wouldn't worry. Once your resonance is established, it shouldn't take long for you to perceive any seraph, regardless of element. It's the first part that's hardest for people, we've found.

Let us hope so! Have you and he known each other long?

Not too long, in the grand scheme of things. He was the first wind seraph pledged to help Sorey back home- we'd met several months before coming here. Altogether, it's been less than a year.

Not long, but long enough, eh? He must be less social than you, as I do not think I have met him yet.

He's a self-imposed loner- he pretends that he likes to keep to himself most of the time. Whether or not that's true is... questionable.

Do you like animals?

He sounds like one of my brothers - Caranthir was moody and temperamental, and preferred his own company to that of others... but that did not mean he did not care! I think sometimes, he perhaps cared too much. Perhaps it is so for your friend as well.

I do, why?

Animals are a bit of a soft spot for him. If you're kind to them, he'll notice.

A gentle heart, I see! Very much like my brother, it seems, although Caranthir was never gentle.

Gentle... well, he has his moments. You might find him to be hot-tempered sometimes.

So was Caranthir - I remember how he snapped and snarled, but when you needed him, ah, then, he was always there.

You should find Dezel to be familiar, then. I think you'll do alright.

I will keep listening for him then. I suppose he will sound a little like you do, of the substance to which he is bound.

If I were to guess, I'd say that was so. That's probably the case for all of my kind. But that might also depend on your own affinity.
