I do not know who this might effect, but I thought it polite to inform you that I am now part of the Huntress's crew. (He had been aboard the S.S. Bishop before.) Furthermore, I have informed myself on what might be possible for...something I lack.

(The swat earns a small, teasing nose wrinkle before Maedhros slips an arm around his brother.)

I forbid you still. (His voice is quiet, but stern.) Do not follow me to the Halls of Mandos.

[ Maglor sighs ]

[castintoflames]

Try your hardest. (He swallows with difficulty.) I ask this of you knowing it is selfish, Kano. But I do not want that final curse upon your fëa.

[ Maglor nods slowly ]

I do try, Nelyo. And I will. But I... it is very hard, some days.

Only my brave Kano could do this. (He holds him closer for a moment.)

I do not feel brave, only tired. [ Maglor curls into his hold ]

Then rest with me or Grandfather or anyone you feel comfortable around. My voice is not like yours, but I would sing for you.

[bythewaves]

You have a perfectly good voice! I wish you would sing more.

[castintoflames]

I would sing for you as much as you like. Just ask.

[bythewaves]

[ A sly smile ]

Oh no, not that one. (He can only put up a slight resistance.)

Please? [ Innocent batting of eyes goes here ]

(As if he can resist.) If anyone overhears...

(He chuckles and shakes his head.) Make yourself comfortable, brother.

(Then he will begin to sing, low yet clear. There might indeed be a talent for such that runs in all the sons of Fëanor and Nerdanel, but he is not an artist.)

[ Maglor settles with a happy hum - Maedhros can say what he likes, but Maglor likes his voice perfectly well, and would happily listen to him sing any time.

For now, he lets himself rest, secure in his brother's presence. ]
