[ this moment has been building, and sam is still a bit miffed he has to make it in the first place. but there’s only so much he can do with what’s been giving, and as much as he’s been trying to figure this out on his own-

I’ve noticed that a lot of these ships tend to vary when it comes to defenses, teams, etc.

I’m in the market for some upgrades and wondering if there’s a point-person who’d be into coming by and giving a quote.

[ he knows he’s going to have to ask the big people upstairs about it, but any kind of person he can talk to before he is left to the whims of the producers, he would really really appreciate it. ]

As far as I can tell? None.

I haven't been able to find any kind of defensive system, protective weaponry, anything at all.

Pool your payments, if you can. If anyone aboard the Pathstone has credits to spare, explain to them why the upgrades are worth the donation. Start with security -- creature comforts can wait.

I'll see about the rest of the crew. So far none of them seem all that concerned with the current safety status. [ and it's not like he's the captain or anything. ]

Piloting. As far as I can tell, we don't have a single Security Augment on board.

Makes it tricky. You can't improve what you don't have. Even so, that doesn't make an arsenal impossible.

Maybe start with your shuttles, then. Their capacity can be expanded.

Any upgrades you'd recommend? I haven't even started looking, but I don't assume that I'll get any held from the administration.

Shuttles. It seems like a minor improvement, but increasing their passenger capacity can be a Godsend.

You're the second person to mention shuttles. And here I was thinking something closer to guns or shields.

For now, focusing on your guns or shields is a bit moot without a security augment in the mix. If it comes to an altercation, the Starstruck will have your back.

But if something happens to the Starstruck, the Pathstone needs to at least be able to fight.

I almost feel bad for poaching the Pathstone's last security officer, now.

Apparently the Pathstone has had a crappy reputation for a while, so it's not like I have anything to live up to over here.

Had I known the rest of you would arrive so soon on his heels, I would have insisted he stay.
