[ this moment has been building, and sam is still a bit miffed he has to make it in the first place. but there’s only so much he can do with what’s been giving, and as much as he’s been trying to figure this out on his own-

I’ve noticed that a lot of these ships tend to vary when it comes to defenses, teams, etc.

I’m in the market for some upgrades and wondering if there’s a point-person who’d be into coming by and giving a quote.

[ he knows he’s going to have to ask the big people upstairs about it, but any kind of person he can talk to before he is left to the whims of the producers, he would really really appreciate it. ]

Have we had many firefights I haven't heard about, or is this just in case?

A couple of cycles before I got here there was some kind of 'altercation' between us and a planet. I don't know too many details, but it's enough for me to want to get something on this ship.
