Who: Beverly Crusher and you
Broadcast: Network - Video
Action: Blue Fish
When: September 1
[There's a strangely familiar cold that has settled in her bones, a dreadful chill that disorients her in the first few moments that she's awake. Her first thought is that something went wrong - very wrong - as they passed through the temporal distortion, but then... as she sits up and takes in her surroundings, the memories all come back in a flood. Atroma has brought Beverly back, a little older, a little blonder, and with a new Starfleet uniform.
Or maybe I never left, she thinks. This is not the Marsiva, these are her quarters aboard the Blue Fish, and none of her things look as if they've been moved. Though admittedly, her memories of Drift Fleet seem distant. By her reckoning, it's been three years since she's seen this room.
Not that "time" really means much, considering what's happened in the past few days.
The communicator rests where she left it on the bedside table. When she picks it up, she finds it's full of unread messages, crewmates and friends wondering where she is, each message sounding more alarmed than the last. With a sinking feeling in her stomach, she checks today's date: September first.]
Damn!
[Immediately, she sends a message to the network, via video:]
This is Dr. Crusher of the... SS Blue Fish. It seems our gracious captors sent me home for a while. I'm back now, and I'm safe, and I'm sorry to everyone who was trying to contact me this month. I'll be on the Blue Fish if you need me.
[There's a pause, as if she's about to say something else, but then she simply gives them a small smile, one that doesn't quite reach her eyes.]
Thank you.
[The feed cuts off and after a moment, she decides to head for the kitchen. Not that she's particularly hungry but - there's a good chance that's where she'll find at least a few of her crewmates.]

video;
[She grins, teasing.]
There's all sorts of things you've been hiding from me, I see.
video;
[Some of his best conversations have been with Kara or Erik or others above the surface of the worlds they've visited, though.]
Though it wasn't a deliberate secret, I assure you. I feel I can trust you.
video;
I know it was not... I was simply teasing. But does this mean you'll come see me now?
video;
Er, would you like me to? I was given to understand the Blue Fish preferred not to have visitors.
[Based on the security system, anyway. The Windrose's security is more inclusive than exclusive, and he doesn't know the Blue Fish has had its security disabled for a while thanks to certain threats leaving.]
video;
video;
Are you" I was given to understand you had a rather exclusive security system.
[ALSO HE DOESN'T VISIT PEOPLE MUCH.]
video;
That's been put offline, as far as I know. We only installed it because there was someone who was a threat to some of my crewmates. And even if it was online, I would still be happy to see you.
video;
Is there anything you'd like me to bring?
video;
Oh I think between Stefan and Nightingale, I've got plenty of food and drinks for now.
[Then, remembering something, she perks up.]
Unless you have some new photos to show me?
video;
[Because he's still at the point where he thinks landscapes are more provocative than people in them...and because he hasn't spent a whole lot of time exploring with others, truth be told. Although he does have an outing with Wanda in mind....]
I'll be over shortly, then.
Re: video;
Wonderful! I look forward to seeing them!
[And him even more, so she’s already waiting by the cargo bay doors for his arrival, ready to give him a happy hug of reunion, though she’s conscious enough of his unfamiliarity with such displays of affection to not hold on for too long.]
action;
I'm glad to see you, Beverly. You look well.
[More stressed out than usual, perhaps, and the hair isn't the only difference, but she doesn't look bad.]
action;
Good to know, after what I've just been through.
But what about you? How are you since... the last time we talked?
action;
Better, I believe. There's a sort of resort on one of the moons here that specializes in matters of the spirit, and I've received a great deal of help there. It has a number of spa facilities as well, if that would be something you'd enjoy.
[If her mention of what she's been through is any indication, it might be welcome.]
action;
Oh that sounds perfect. Just what the doctor ordered - so to speak.
action;
Perhaps if you're free in the morning, I could show you around?
action;
action;
[Oh wait, but he'd promised her pictures. The Vision takes out his camera from its carrysack and hands it over to her, switching it to "view" mode. There are a few pictures of the various planets and moons from space, followed by a stretch of very different locations on those planets. Then a selection of pictures of Lavendula and some of the more interesting meditation points and gardens. Finally, there are pictures of Wanda and, occasionally, himself in the Solrius city center looking at various tourist attractions.]
action;
You've been spending a lot of time with Wanda then, I take it?
action;
Whenever I can. Although her brother did recently arrive here as well--did you meet Pietro or was that while you were asleep?
action;
action;
Her twin, and for much of their lives they only had each other. He's protective, a bit arrogant--it stems from confidence, so it tends toward charming rather than the opposite, I'd say. His ability is great speed.
action;
action;
[Though there is a small part of him that wonders if she'd have grown in the same way in the past two years - both here and at home - if he'd been around for them.]
I can say without equivocation that she is very happy to have him here. I hope you'll get a chance to meet him soon.
