OK, so!! It's been a month. Sorey challenged me to come up with a hundred questions in that span of time. So here they are!! I was gonna just send it to him, but I thought it might be more fun to share them... and a hundred questions is an awful lot for one person to handle all at once! Anyway, here goes--

I understand. I will look, then. Though I must admit, it is quite strange to suddenly be able to read and write so fluently here... Ah, I think the question about foxes stuck out a bit. Do you like foxes? And I am not a 'pro' hero, I think. I am hailed as a hero at home, though I disagree, but I do not have a unique power.

Just for myself. I have done naught but my duty, so I do not seek extra compensation. Why do you ask?

just wondering. not everyone has a good opinion of heroes, and if I'm going to be one someday, it's important to know why.

Courageous heroes to one side are heinous villains to another. Such is the nature of conflict.

Sometimes.

But sometimes villains know that they're villains, and they're fine with that. I don't know if I'll ever really understand people like that, though.

I cannot say. I have never met any who think that way. None who still think of themselves as a human, at least.

I've met them. They're human, but they don't act like it. They like to hurt people with their powers.

There is one man similar to that whom I have met, but he believed he was just. Even in insanity, those you know of do not hold to that illusion?

Some of them do, but it just feels like an excuse. I can't imagine how hurting innocent people could ever make the world a better place.

Nor I. But many believe that ends justify the means. But then, I know of one who believed herself to be evil for wishing to heal people. I find many people's beliefs quite hard to understand.

It is a long and unhappy story. When one is told they are evil for a long enough time, one begins to believe it. Even if it is obviously untrue.

Why would anyone say that, though?

Because no one wishes to be treated the same as those they detest.

I don't really get it...

Triste's dream is to be a healer who can help everyone, regardless of who they are. But purebloods detest mixed-bloods, and mixed-bloods thus detest purebloods. Similarly, the rich detest the poor, and the poor the rich, and the nobles the peasants, and the peasants the nobles. To treat all equally is something no one asked for, and so they brand her as evil. But I think she is an amazing person, perhaps the most so I have ever met.

She is quite wonderful, I agree. Her dream is something I wish to support with all of my strength. Near the end of the war, we began to engage in courtship, as well. I miss her and Dolore quite sorely.
