Who: the little queen margaery tyrell + you
Broadcast: yes, unless your name is sansa stark
Action: upon the tourist, if you are so inclined
When: current.
[ those who frequently visit the star system may have seen margaery here and there. running around the moxie part of the planet under the name alerie, sitting in the spirit libraries and presenting herself as olenna tyrell or, quite like today, visiting the savvy part of the planet in the colors of her house, using her true name for a change.
it has been a sweet game of a sort but today she seems to be all business ]
Well, it is an interesting little place we are visiting, is it not? I do hope everyone is keeping well.
I arrived here six moon cycles ago and when I did, a friend of mine and I discussed our name days. It is very difficult for us to know when they would be, here. This realm seems to measure time quite differently than our own. It was my suggestion that we would do well to simply decide on the matter of our name days. My friend, I fear, is very humble and so it was decided -
[ mostly by herself ]
that we shall celebrate our name days on the very same day and I do think the time has come. Those of you who are truly fortunate have already met Lady Sansa Stark, she resides upon the Blue Fish and I do dearly wish to plan this little gathering for her and for myself.
[ she sits up, tucks one curl behind an ear and smiles ]
This entire matter should be kept a secret from Lady Stark. I wish it to be a surprise. I should think two weeks is a proper enough notice, there is more than enough time to purchase presents for her on this little planet.
[ and for margaery, but that's a whole other issue ]
She is very fond of gowns, embroidery, music and lemon cakes. Try and bring her a boon of friendship and affection, if you can find it in you. We shall meet at one of the halls upon the Iskaulit that shall be decorated accordingly to celebrate her and mine name day. As for my own preferences for gifts -
[ a tiny little grin ]
I trust you all to know your way to a lady's heart.

Oh, you. One might be thoroughly distracted by such a lady, though in my experience it's usually having a sword in hand and charging at them that really does the trick.
video
[ a bit of a grin ]
A lengthy one. Be thoroughly impressed by the view.
video
[She chuckles.]
Oh, that I can do. I can wax poetic about the view, and perhaps poke some fun at the locals. Spread idle gossip, and see if Sansa has any to share. She's quite observant, I've noticed.
video
[ more so than most people realize; but of course, clever women know each other much better than men. she smiles a little ]
You never told me much of your lord husband.
video
...
Welp, Marge, you've done it now.]
I haven't, have I? How terrible of me. Where shall I start? [BRACE YOURSELF.]
His name is Alistair. We met when I joined the Wardens. You know, I thought him a bit strange at first. He likes to make jokes when perhaps one should not make them, but it's just his way of trying to lighten a situation... or just to help endure it at times. Whatever few reservations I had, they went away very quickly as grew on me. I discovered we both have a terrible sense of humor, and he helped me smile and laugh when I thought I never would again.
He's the most loyal, kindhearted man I know. No matter what, he always wants to do the right thing and help others as best as one can. I hardly know anyone with a better moral compass than he. He's always willing to do what's best, even at the cost of his own happiness.
[See: him becoming king.]
And he's so sweet and earnest. Sometimes - well, a lot of times - he stumbles over his words, but you know he's sincere and just trying to find the best way to convey what he feels. But oh, Maker, when he does get it right? It's devastating. [She laughs.] In a good way, I promise. No man has ever made me blush as often as he had.
video
[ her smile softens as she listens. there aren't many happy marriages in westeros and hearing of one is heart-warming, a proof that such can still happen. not to margaery but mayhaps to her children. ]
You must miss him terribly. I shall pray that you shall see him again soon.
video
I do. Very much. I'm not... I don't feel quite whole when he isn't around. [She sighs.] What I wouldn't give to see him.
