It's been a few days since Katie and Max recovered her from the avalanche she unwittingly started. It has taken that time for her to feel like she's back in the land of the living and not teetering on some cold abyssal edge; she's still sore, her movements careful and ginger, but she's got her wits about her and she's never been so happy to be warm again. While the ship isn't anywhere near the scorching temperatures she experienced back home, in relation to the burning cold she just dealt with she's grateful for a secure, safe environment.

She's also grateful for the outpouring of help and friendship, evidenced in the aftermath with Max and Tyrion's posts to the network. She wouldn't normally go out of her way to make such a public statement, but she recognizes the effort that went in to finding her, even outside of the one who was finally successful.

The video feed opens to a view of her in her bunk. She's still recovering, continuing to let Tyrion have control of the ship until she's sure she'll be able to handle it (and, perhaps, get a replacement arm for the one she lost in her foolishness). Her face is worn, and craggy from her bout with the elements, but she looks happy, hopeful.]

I am. [She's not very good at relaxing, really, and appreciates any distraction she could get.]

[There should be someone there to let him in. At the very least, Furiosa can alert someone to his presence.]

[She's laid up in bed, looking a little worse for wear but oddly content.]

[ Maglor comes bearing a bottle of alcohol - he finds that most appreciate a good drop, particularly after something like what Furiosa has been through! ]

[Alcohol is actually not something Furiosa has had much experience with. Water and food were hard enough resources to find in the Wastelands in the first place.]

Can't complain, really. I'm alive.

[ Maglor nods ]

Indeed so - a good place to start, eh? But here - I brought this, and thought you might like to try it. A good drop of wine helps a little with the aches, I find.

[ He even brought cups ]

I'm up for giving it a try.

[She shifts in bed so she's sitting up, wincing a little but otherwise without complaint.]

[ Maglor nods and pours her a small nip ]

Nothing particularly fancy! [ He offers her the glass ] But I was assured that this is considered a "good" vintage, in Spirit lands.

Are you sure you want to waste it on me? [Wastelander; Would Drink Anything.]

[She takes the glass and looks at it before taking a drink.] Not bad.

I hardly call any drink with a friend wasted.

[ Maglor smiles and salutes her with his cup before trying it ]

Mm, yes - I have had better, but it is passing strong and the flavour is good. Are you hungry? Apparently Spirit has good food and drink, and since they have claimed me, I mean to take full advantage.

I could do with a bite. [It's a strange sensation that she's been getting used to over the past year; not having to be hungry. Food when you needed it. She had about as much of a discerning palate with food as she did with drink, still, but she appreciated the fact that while she was hungry; she wasn't starving.]

What do you think of Spirit?

Then I will make sure to remember to fetch you something later - for now, my cousin and brother are keen to make me eat, and I find I cannot manage these pastries by myself, if you do not mind sharing!

Mm, the factions are an interesting concept - Spirit has very good libraries, but even so, they are, obviously, biased towards their own interests.

Do they think you need to eat?

Well, that's how factions form in the first place, isn't it? They each focus on one thing.

I... well, I am not... quite used to eating regular meals, these days. [ Maglor admits ] And the food here is... not particularly palatable, onboard. They worry.

Even so! Although I look at their life philosophies and wonder to myself if they are not all very much facets of the same goal.
