I didn't think I would grow older while I was still here. That is, we grow older each day, but I trust you all catch my meaning regardless. It's a strange thing, to gain a year so far from home.

I don't wish for a celebration or any gifts, but one thing I would enjoy is to hear stories. Legends or fables from your world, or experiences that you yourself have had. I find this sort of thing fascinating, truly. I would be happy to reciprocate as well.

She didn't, actually. [ she flushes a little, apparently embarrassed to be caught putting work into friendship. ] But we've talked about similarities in how different universes approach or use whatever form of magic we have, so I thought a local book on magic might be interesting for her.
