[ Kara is in the lecture hall on the Iskaulit, with materials strewn about. There's ribbon and fabric and pompoms and paper and, of course, GLITTER. She probably has some glitter on her cheek. She looks cheery and waves at the camera ]

Hi, Fleet! Fleeters. Have we come up with a demonym? Or a collective noun? "A floot of fleeters". Eh, needs work.

Anyway, I set up some arts & crafts in the lecture hall on the Iskaulit because it's been very hectic and stressful lately and I thought we could use some creative outlets! Consider this my contribution to the Fleet as someone with a personnel augment. Craft therapy!

So come on by, spread glitter around, and maybe even meet new people! I'll be here for awhile—my room could really use some sprucing up.

[ she waves again and cuts the feed, though she's more than happy to chat with people over the videolink. All are invited to the craft party though! ]

It was close. [he shrugs a little helplessly, before he forces something of a smile back] But he's dead.

I'm sorry it came to that... but I know you're a great team.

Mmm. [that much he agrees with, even if it's a little bittersweet now] Raven's teaching them - training them, I should say.

I bet she's really good at that, though maybe a little intimidating.

[that makes him grin]

She's very good at it. She even intimidates me.

Come on, Hank. We know the right kind of butterfly could intimidate you.

That's a little rude. I'm not that bad.

You're really not. I'm just teasing, and full disclosure: I'm kind of intimidated by Raven too.

[beathach]

[he laughs a little]

I think she'd take it as a compliment, at least?

I think she would. But hopefully she's warmed on me.

I'm sure she has.

So, how are you doing with all of this? Being back here with a few more years on you.

[beathach]

It's . . . still a little overwhelming sometimes, but it's sort of like picking up where I left off, too. Only it takes me a little bit to remember the specifics.

I mean, I remember what I did last month here, but - it feels like it happened ten years ago, too. It gave me a headache for a while.

I imagine so... I only caught up by a few days and it was strange enough.

[he looks confused for a moment before it clicks]

That's right - it happened to you, too.

Not nearly as dramatically.

Ten years is pretty dramatic. [he sighs]

Man, you are like super old. It's probably for the best we didn't become more than friends. Awkward.

I'm not super old, I'm just - old. Though that would have been very awkward, yes.

I'm a millennial, I can't help it.

[beathach]

You're - a what?

Just a silly generational term for 20-somethings. Mostly it's just older people being scared of younger people.
