[ Kara is in the lecture hall on the Iskaulit, with materials strewn about. There's ribbon and fabric and pompoms and paper and, of course, GLITTER. She probably has some glitter on her cheek. She looks cheery and waves at the camera ]

Hi, Fleet! Fleeters. Have we come up with a demonym? Or a collective noun? "A floot of fleeters". Eh, needs work.

Anyway, I set up some arts & crafts in the lecture hall on the Iskaulit because it's been very hectic and stressful lately and I thought we could use some creative outlets! Consider this my contribution to the Fleet as someone with a personnel augment. Craft therapy!

So come on by, spread glitter around, and maybe even meet new people! I'll be here for awhile—my room could really use some sprucing up.

[ she waves again and cuts the feed, though she's more than happy to chat with people over the videolink. All are invited to the craft party though! ]

Right, right. I know I saw some... maybe on this table over here...

[ she fishes around on another table and ta-da! peach ]

Ah-ha! Now it's just the simple matter of figuring out how to make a lollipop!

[ it's gonna take a little time. ]

Right, that whole... round thing. Maybe a modified pinwheel?

[ crafting goes here ]

[ so much crafting!! it takes a few attempts, but eventually they get it right! ]

Hey, that looks pretty good, doesn't it?

That's awesome! Show me how you did that.

Hopefully I remember - [ he shows her! ]

Okay, now to make a whole bunch of these...

[ but she won't use her superpowers. the process is part of the fun ]

[ hanging out together is the most fun part for him. ]

Wanna divvy it up, one of us makes ice cream cones, the other lollipops?

Sure. Do you have a preference?

I can go either way.

Okay, I'll do the lollipops, then, since you have the ice cream locked up.

Aye aye, captain! Or, I mean, admiral - [ she gets a salute, even if it feels weird to bring up their pirate shenanigans when he hasn't seen sascha yet. ]

[ she smiles, but it's a little contemplative ]

Where are you two with all of that?

[ she hopes the person in question is adequately inferred ]

[ he sighs running his fingers through his hair. it's a rough topic but actually talking to kara about it might help. ]

We're - talking. On the comms.

That's a good start.

I thought so.

[ he nods ]

What do next steps look like, do you think?

I guess...going to see him.

[ which he will, with kitty, and get thoroughly overwhelmed. ]

With company. [ as much as he hates to admit that he needs it, going in there without either kara or kitty by his side it too scary to consider when he doesn't have to. ] And then see how that goes...

That's a good next step. Sensible. I know you'll probably go with Kitty, but I would be happy to be there, too. She's more than capable, but Sascha and I have kind of had a breakthrough friendship-wise, and I also know that I can contain him.

Though I don't think that will be necessary.

[winn]

[ that makes him smile. ]

I don't think it'll be necessary either. [ he mostly wants one of them there for moral support - a safety blanket, and someone to distract sascha if he needs to catch his breath. going with both of them sounds brilliant for that, he'd barely even have to talk, but he ends up going on a whim to try and cheer kitty up. definitely gonna want his second meet up to include kara. ]

But thank you. [ he really appreciates the offer ] I'll probably take you up on that. What kinda breakthrough? [ he's really happy he introduced them when he did, so sascha can have the best friend anyone can ask for by his side while winn takes his time working through the issues he has to work through before he could properly be there again. despite everything, he still cares a lot about sascha. ]

Just that he believes that I'll support him and I want what's in his best interest. That I don't think he's that person anymore, and that while it will take people some time, not everyone hates him.

[winn]

That's a good breakthrough.

[ he nods ]

I'm glad he has you.

He really is a good kid. I wish I could get through to him that not everyone has to like him. He'll ruin what he does have with that.

[ says... kara... ]

It's a hard lesson to learn.

[ one he relates to intensely as well. there's a reason they all get along so well. ]
