[Monty isn't a complete stranger to being one place and then suddenly being another. This typically has some element of delusion or other magic involved, though. Suddenly finding himself aboard a random ship in the fleet is disconcerting. But Renart's given him a basic rundown of what's going on, and he's glanced through this latest communications network. There's far too much to take in. But there is one matter he's been wondering about.]

To All Souls Present,

My name is Lord Montague D'Ysquith Navarro, most recently of the Fortress Between. I should extend my apologies if this is a query that has been answered before, but is there, perhaps, a list of persons who once were held within the confines of this fleet who have since departed? And is it known where these disappeared persons might go?

ACTION - SS Heron

[Monty's not entirely sure how much he should go just wandering about a strange ship when he's just arrived, really. He probably ought to introduce himself to the captain, find out if there's some place for him to actually sleep, where the food Renart mentioned might be... But, well, a man does get distracted. Specifically, he's been distracted by the Med/Science Lab. Everything in it should, by rights, be absolutely foreign, but his hands seem to know what they're doing when he picks up devices, and he knows what the different medicines he finds are and what they do.

It's unnerving, disturbing, whatever had he done to be so deserving of such an augment? And how in god's name is this possible? He's really trying to take it in stride, but he's back to being a no one, stranded away from all the people he's known for more than a year, except Renart, whom he hasn't even found, yet.

Anyone stepping into the medical lab will find a young gentleman dressed to the nines in a suit from a bygone era, moving around and trying desperately to keep himself distracted from... everything by mucking about with the equipment.]

The Bloodsport, is it? That's a rather violent name. Who did pick that out?

I dunno... But that's where Bigby was, so I asked if I could go there! I was on a different ship when I first got here.

[You sound like you're her age, Sascha. What even?

Here's the name Bigby again, though.]

Did you not care for your crew, sir?

[ How rude! He's tens of thousands of years old! ]

Huh? No, that wasn't it--I just wanted to be with Bigby. [ Bigby is sort of the point his life revolves around in a lot of ways. he was the first person to actually try to make Sascha better rather than simply yell at him or keep his distance. ]

Oh? He's your friend, then? I have heard about him, briefly. What's he like?

[ He's literally the Big Bad Wolf. An actual, giant wolf. ]

[Luckily, Renart has informed Monty of Bigby's status as the Big Bag Wolf. He'd assumed she meant he was like her as in he had a human form, as well. But apparently not.]

You're a great fan of animals, then, I take it, sir?

I love them! But they can't stand me, hehe... They always run away.

I'm Latvian⭐️[ Man he hasn't used that in a while...not since he first arrived and discovered nine times out if ten it's alright to tell people what he is. But with his recent glitch as his former self, well... ]

[Monty's about a decade too early for Latvia to even exist, yet.]

Oh. Um. It's just someone from Latvia. It's a country, but it was mostly a joke...

I see, sir. [No, he doesn't.] Are Latvians well-known for scaring animals away?

That...no. I'm not actually Latvian, that was the joke. [ Now this is just getting awkward (more awkward?) ]

I'm a vampire and that's why animals don't like me.

[There's a drawn out pause.]

Oh! Forgive me the confusion! What manner of vampire are you, then? I've met several varieties. [Some are more tolerable than others.]

Ummm... I...dunno? I mean, we only ever had one kind back where I came from? But they did call themselves Carmilla! Have you heard of them??

Unfortunately not. You do drink blood, though, I take it? Are you the sort that can take from animals instead of people?

[pneumo]

Blood and meat, yup! [ But at the mention of eating people Sascha makes sure to insist: ]

I don't bite people, promise! Bigby gives me meat from the freezer so I'm okay, promise!

Perfect! It seems you have the matter of your diet well in hand, then. [And that's one potential problem out of his way.]

Where does one acquire proper meat here? I've seen the mess facilities aboard the ship and the machines only seem to dispense... well, I don't know quite what to call it.

Well...Bigby usually goes to get it whenever we're on a planet or station. Last time he was asleep though, so I got it. [ He literally just dragged carcasses from butcher shops all the way up to the Bloodsport. The ship is now very aptly named. ]

I'll have to ask after it for my own cooking when we reach the next planet... or station. What are they like? Renart told me they can be nice. Are the planets you've visited green with life?

Not always. The last one was though! The veeery first one we went to had poison air and everything was dead and gross.

[ And he spent most of his time on the Iskaulit instead of the planet. ]

Why on Earth one one even bother to visit such a planet?

I dunno! It sucked, we spent most of our time on the ships and stuff to avoid it. You needed to wear a mask most when you were there or you'd throw up.
