[Loki happens by at all sorts of hours; whether he's been planning to train there himself at the time, he's always curious who might be making use of his space. It pays to know such things.

So here is someone he doesn't know, poking about. Worth a moment of curiosity. He leans in the doorway and silently waits.]

[She's at the weaponry, examining how blunt it actually is, when she notices she isn't the only one here.]

If you're planning on using any of this I'm only looking around.

[Gotta make sure this stuff won't actually kill a soft, squishy human.]

Not at the moment.

I will note that those are mine, though I don't mind if they are borrowed, so long as they are well-cleaned after. [If he cared, he'd curse them. He might do that some day, just for a laugh. But it gives him an appearance of generosity that annoys the Avengers, and thus is worthwhile.]

Oh? [Well, it's not like borrowing someone else's stuff is going to stop her. She raises an eyebrow.]

I'll make sure to clean them. [Maybe.] I doubt I'll be using them that violently, though.

If you don't, I'll smell it. [And know who to come looking for.] I'm less concerned with blood than with sweat. [Yuck.] If you manage to draw blood with one of those, I'll merely be impressed.

You'll smell it? [Human noses aren't that good, especially when the daggers have no fabric to absorb the scent.] I take it you aren't human?

[Dryly:] Well-deduced. I'm Aesir.

Oh my, I'm in the presence of a god. Am I supposed to prostrate myself at your feet?

[As if that's actually going to happen.]

[So dryly:] No, but please feel free to expand upon how unimpressed you are by gods, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. I've never heard that before and I'm certain to be taken aback by your wit.

[She shrugs.] It sounds like you've got it covered. It's hard to be impressed by something that is only a delusion back home.

[complicatedliar]

[Still desert dry:] Many think magics a myth, too. Which saves them not at all here.

[aigue]

Oh, home had quite a bit of magic. Just no gods to speak of.

[complicatedliar]

And many here come from places with both or neither. [Careless shrug.]

Do you know of any other gods around here? Or are you the only one?

I know of a few others and am friends with a portion of them.

You're very lucky.

[She glances around.]

So why did you create all this? Boredom?

[complicatedliar]

[Amused:] Spoken truly as someone who has not known many gods.

Boredom is a constant enemy one must combat, yes. [And it pays to keep all edges sharply honed.]

Well, I haven't had the chance. [Her response is wry.]

I see. It's a good idea for when the ships are traveling.

[complicatedliar]

Indeed. Better to have open terrain when possible, but... we make do.

And these are the only weapons you have? No practice swords?

[complicatedliar]

I've no need of others. You might acquire your own.

[aigue]

Right. Where did you get yours? One of the planet systems?

[complicatedliar]

I've picked them up here and there. The quality of weapons is generally quite low.

[aigue]

Are they? That's disappointing. I don't suppose there's some kind of metalsmith on one of the ships who could improve them?

[complicatedliar]

There very well might be. I suppose you shall have to ask around.
