Are you trying to convince me or yourself, 2187? You don't look entirely confident in that.
[And this is fascinating to watch how Finn seems to struggle with this.]
no subject
Call me that one more time and you'll see what kind of confidence I have.
[Because while he has no difficulty thinking of himself as Finn, it still triggers something hearing his old number.]
no subject
What will you do, FN-2187? Attack me? Kill me? You know you could and I know you have the skills to do so very efficiently.
The towel though? That's disgusting.
no subject
If you know that and I know that, why are you out here with no backup?
no subject
[No it's because he ditched Phasma with Ren for a bit. He had a stun weapon in the pocket of his coat but he didn't reach for it.]
It's not the Jedi way, is it?
no subject
I can't be a Stormtrooper and a Jedi, Hux. If you call me Finn, you acknowledge the first, and you're right - I won't attack you today.
Call me by that number one more time and I swear I will tie you up with your own jacket and gag you with this towel.
no subject
[At least he's not getting a towel snapped in his face but he stepped back slightly at the threat. He was sure that Finn could overpower him.]
Do you need me to release you from that number so desperately that you need me to call you by your new name?
no subject
I don't consider myself a Jedi. But I am learning from them.
If you're not willing to accept me as a person, I'm not willing to treat you with the courtesy I'd extend to anyone else.
no subject
[This posed another problem but he would bring that up with Phasma later. The Jedi had another ally who would have to considered.]
Accept you as a person? I have your childhood and life in the Order in my files and that's what I'm going with. You may pretend at being Jedi and Resistance fighter but I know the truth of where you came from.
[This time his hand did wrap around the stun weapon in his pocket, ready to draw it.
He knew the training Finn had as a stormtrooper but at the very least hopefully it give him a chance to get away. He wasn't going to stick around for this fight.]

[Finn's no stranger to the action of drawing a weapon. Once he sees Hux's muscles tense as if curling around something, he quickly dodges over to that side and grabs his forearm in a grip meant to make him drop whatever he's holding. His expression is no longer relaxed and his tone is full of anger as he says, in a low tone:]
So what's my name, Hux?
no subject
[Finn was physically stronger than he was and so his fingers were forced to release the weapon despite his best attempt to resist but he knew he wasn't getting away that easily.
He refused to wince though, his lips set in a thin line. ]
So you're going to force me to call you by another name by force? That hardly proves anything, 2187, aside from the fact you don't seem to be confident in your new identity as you like to think you are if you need to resort to such tactics.

[What happens next is too fast to follow unless one pays close attention, but it involves a sucker punch to the gut, slipping Hux's uniform jacket off, dragging him over to the closest wall and then securing him to it with the jacket arms. Then, more slowly, he takes the sweaty towel and gags Hux so his shouts won't get very far. It won't hold very long - a good struggle could let Hux escape in a matter of minutes - but that isn't the point, is it? Finn leaves the stun weapon just out of Hux's reach and waves cheerily on his way out.]
Next time I'll find a trash compactor just for you.

Everything about this was disgusting and awful. When the time was right he was going to personally enjoy dealing with 2187. No matter what he wanted to call himself it wasn't going to make a difference in the end.
It only took a few moments to get free, pulling the arms of the coat free as he spit the towel out with a horrified expression.
Everything about this was horrible and he wouldn't...well, couldn't..forget it.]
