[She'd be interested in seeing what he was capable of. Maybe not first hand—not in a fair fight, certainly—but still seeing what he's capable of.]

There's always people interested in testing themselves.

I'd just be worried about hurting them, that's the only thing stopping me.

I guess it's hard to say when I don't know exactly what can do, but I know some people who are pretty hard to hurt.

Not all of them are here, unfortunately...

I don't know a lot about the one you know, but I'm sure he'd give me a run for my money and then some.

He's more or less indestructible, and can be intangible. But he wants to learn—and at least with me he sets the goals reasonably.

That does sound fair. [and . . . well, if he's indestructible that would put Hank's usual worries to rest]

[and then it dawns on him that they never exchanged names. He huffs a noise and holds out a clawed hand]

I'm Hank. I don't think we ever introduced ourselves when we spoke last.

[If she's bothered by the claws, she doesn't show it—she takes his hand and shakes it professionally, raising her chin a little and offering a smile.]

Natasha Romanoff. Nice to meet you?

[his grip is firm and yet careful at the same time, very conscious of his strength when he shakes]

Hank McCoy. It's nice to meet you too, Natasha. Thanks again for the advice.

[She tips her head a little, accepting his thanks with the gesture. His carefulness, though not awkward, is noticeable in his handshake. She smiles gently.]

I'm surprised it took us this long, if you spend much time in here.

[he looks a little sheepish, a hand coming up to rub at the side of his neck]

I used to come here early in the morning or late at night. Usually when no one was here.

[Her experience is serious when she responds:]

I wasn't making you uncomfortable watching, was I? It was impressive.

Ah - thank you? [he shakes his head] You didn't make me uncomfortable, I'm - a lot more used to it now than I used to be.

Good. I'd hate to think I made something awkward.

[he huffs out a low, growled noise that sounds more like a laugh]

Trust me, if anyone's making things awkward, it'll be me. I'm very good at it.

Lucky for you, it's very hard to make me feel awkward.
