[She leads him over to the mural. The next section has been prepped, with sections marked off for different colors.] It's just doing the these patches all one color, but they're all different colors. Here's the map for it...
[She offers him a flimsy with everything drawn very neatly, though her handwriting is absolutely atrocious.]

How long have you had this planned out?

I've been working on the mural ever since we got the Iskaulit. That's the first panel. [She points to a section of the wall where there's a little bench to sit on, the memorial piece.]

...I think that's right. I must have done art before, but I don't remember how that worked. [Shrug.]

I see. So, where do you want me to start?

Here's the best place to start. From this row up, since that's what I can't reach really well.

[But on the bright side, it's given her an opportunity to ask Erik for help, which she thinks is a good thing. She had said to Charles once that if she was going to try to get Erik to do anything artsy, she thought he'd be more interesting in painting than knitting.]
But I guess it's worked out.

If you can't find it, I can make you another one out of a wall.
no subject
...but are there walls people don't need?
[She gets her own paint, which is pale green, and starts on another area.]

[Erik certainly doesn't care.]
no subject
If you do that, can I watch?
[She still hasn't really seen much of Erik's power.]
no subject
If you want to. [He's a little bemused, because to him it's a utilitarian action.]

[She keeps painting steadily. And while they're working, she actually doesn't talk much; she tends to hyper focus on her task.]
